Just be sure to tape paper over your pickups and have a magnet in your steel wool when you polish frets. Gun shops have cleaning cloths similar to Gorgomyte.

Today I will say I found Angine de Poitrine interesting and entertaining. Tomorrow I will wake up and wonder what was I thinking? What are they thinking? -

Around the upper part of South Carolina and Western North Carolina there are still downed trees from Hurricane Helene. It just sits in yards or in the the woods. That wood could be harvested to make lumber. Would you like a house made with oak 2 x 4's? Just firewood is abundant. It is all just going to waste. A friend has a sawmill, and he took away some of the fallen pine trees that were in my yard. Those trees did not go to waste. Some huge limbs fell from one of my beech trees. The beech wood is hopefully going to become a few guitar bodies.

Going in the other direction, at the end of 2025 I had packages to send to relatives in France. When I was told that my relatives might have to pay a certain VAT the gifts ended right then. The tax was going to be more than the value of the contents of the packages. To send a book, I pre-paid the tax and it was equal to the price of the book. A friend who sent gifts to Denmark has run into the same problem. In Jeff's case, he is a manufacturer creating a product. Everyone else here is a hobbyist. No one is theoretically competing with American businesses. There should be no need for a tariff. Tariffs are about balancing trade, not one-off purchases or gifts.

Fender has a new amp. Brown this time.

Those tones are really nice. How much is the player, and how much is the amp? -
I saw Chuck Negron on his 77th birthday in 2019. He had an oxygen machine on the side of the stage with a hose going up his back. Two tiny tubes came down from the frame of his eyeglasses into his nose. Chuck joked about it when he took a moment just to breathe. He sang like he did when he was young. You would not have known he had that oxygen if you were sitting way in the back.

Yes! I have seen that often in the past week.
