  1. Is there food anywhere at this party?
  2. Barry Manilow has been playing Las Vegas this year. He even did a show in California last Saturday.
  3. We need to have an intervention on @Brooks.
  4. Hofner is known for one particular instrument, not a range of instruments even though they have tried making different basses and guitars. They got a good run out of that violin shaped bass. Can you name anything else they have done?
  5. So the guy who is the namesake of the band has a song on the radio under the band name, and he complains? He should have been stoking that fire instead of putting it out.
  6. I like them both, but this morning the Mirage has a sound that I prefer. Tomorrow my opinion might be the opposite.
  7. 100 Polite & Creative Ways to Say 'No'
  8. I will take them all as soon as I win Powerball.
  9. Are you linking to the jpeg or trying to upload it?
  10. I am thankful I did laundry last night, so it does not bother me today. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at the HFC!
  11. Do not expect a show from the 1970's. The guys are older, and Rick is not as "in your face" as he once was. Tom never ran around a lot, so his presence will be about the same as it has always been. Robin's voice is as strong as ever, which is amazing for someone still seen with a cigarette every now and then. Robin will be the one holding the show together. You will be impressed by him. Robin's son will be there as an extra guitar player and singer. He does not need to be there, but he will be. Rick's son plays drums. I want to see Cheap Trick next year. A friend convinced me to buy tickets for Rush and AC/DC next year. That makes me skittish on buying more tickets to anything. With my other 2026 tickets my entertainment budget is now spent already. Cheap Trick has not become a tribute band to themselves. They are still very much Cheap Trick. Their setlist changes every night, so you may get all your favorites or a bunch of newer songs you never heard. That was a point of argument with Bun E. as he only wanted to play an all hit-song setlist. Now you get some good surprises in the show.
  12. The death metal band Vitriol fired their singer by abandoning him at a gas station. https://consequence.net/2025/11/vitriol-kyle-rasmussen-gas-station/ That got this reaction:
  13. Some finishes look better in person. Are you going to stare at the finish while playing? Again, it might sound and play like a dream. If that is true, then the finish is less important.
  14. It would be nice to have that guitar, but how many times do you set off the smoke before you start thinking about how it stinks up the house too much?
  15. Yeah. Them and their asshole parents.
  16. I like the Johan Segeborn videos, but he might be running out of ideas for new videos. Then again, was there not a Pignose amp used on a ZZ Top album?
