Different subject: This one picture....
Steve Haynie replied to Willie G. Moseley's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Clapton has some wonderful history. Cream was great. Then things went wrong. Supersuckers visit guitar shops when they tour. They have been to Guitar Center so many times that it became a running joke to photograph their guitar player, Metal Marty Chandler, flipping off the giant Clapton photo that is on the wall of every Guitar Center. The idea blossomed into becoming part of their show on their most recent tour. They even sold stickers that match the kick drum head. -

The enthusiasm for guitar is really showing. -
Allen Collins sometimes makes me want a Firebird, too.

What's your favorite Christmas song?
Steve Haynie replied to The Shark's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Sure we do. Exotic Tiki Island will have holiday themed weekend shows, and Hawaiian music with a Christmas theme is just so wonderful that we should share that experience with everyone we know. -
Is there food anywhere at this party?

Now Hofner files for bankruptcy.
Steve Haynie replied to stobro's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Hofner is known for one particular instrument, not a range of instruments even though they have tried making different basses and guitars. They got a good run out of that violin shaped bass. Can you name anything else they have done? -
So the guy who is the namesake of the band has a song on the radio under the band name, and he complains? He should have been stoking that fire instead of putting it out.

HAMER vs. HAMER, Round 2! Hollowbody vs. Koa top…
Steve Haynie replied to draelyc's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I like them both, but this morning the Mirage has a sound that I prefer. Tomorrow my opinion might be the opposite. -

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 😃
Steve Haynie replied to Dave Scepter's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I am thankful I did laundry last night, so it does not bother me today. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at the HFC! -
Do not expect a show from the 1970's. The guys are older, and Rick is not as "in your face" as he once was. Tom never ran around a lot, so his presence will be about the same as it has always been. Robin's voice is as strong as ever, which is amazing for someone still seen with a cigarette every now and then. Robin will be the one holding the show together. You will be impressed by him. Robin's son will be there as an extra guitar player and singer. He does not need to be there, but he will be. Rick's son plays drums. I want to see Cheap Trick next year. A friend convinced me to buy tickets for Rush and AC/DC next year. That makes me skittish on buying more tickets to anything. With my other 2026 tickets my entertainment budget is now spent already. Cheap Trick has not become a tribute band to themselves. They are still very much Cheap Trick. Their setlist changes every night, so you may get all your favorites or a bunch of newer songs you never heard. That was a point of argument with Bun E. as he only wanted to play an all hit-song setlist. Now you get some good surprises in the show.

The death metal band Vitriol fired their singer by abandoning him at a gas station. https://consequence.net/2025/11/vitriol-kyle-rasmussen-gas-station/ That got this reaction: -
Some finishes look better in person. Are you going to stare at the finish while playing? Again, it might sound and play like a dream. If that is true, then the finish is less important.
