I am on my second Lil Dawg 6g3 clone head. IMO the nastiest and best Fender…very Marshallish…but chewier and not as bright. It really sounds like no other Fender. But it just rocks. I love the tweed, blondes, and browns.

I love the top and the ebony on that M3….what I don’t like are the pickguard holes someone drilled in and the fact that I’d have to install 3 OEM Duncan 90s in order to get the highly touted in-between sounds. But it is in the running….

I saw the MIII on Reverb…and the Newports…but I’d much rather buy here if possible. Being blown away by the Tally I bought and seeing @Camstone’s Monaco Monaco (M2?) instigated this reach out.

Ok…Monaco Superpro…Fender scale…I have never seen one in the wild or being played. How wide is the lower bout compared to an Artist or a Les Paul…or even a 335?

I would think that a major metro area like the Bay Area would have at least a couple expert luthiers who would be more capable of refretting a bound neck. You just need to decide upon fret type and fret size. I’d go with the standard Hamer fret size but in SS, like I did on my Artist.

So after borrowing another HFC member’s Talladega, I knew I had to get one. I found this mint almost NOS 2007 model from a collector who rarely played it. It has a much softer V than the other one I borrowed, but I can fly on it and it feels like a vintage carve but with a soft V. And it is in jazzburst!!! Just like my Artist Korina! This is the finest and fastest Hamer I have ever owned. Impeccably built. I love the Double Ds and of course the Sustainblock and Fender scale. It is very light and I believe it has the extra chambering as it sounds that way when doing the tap test. I need to get it x-rayed to be sure. Simpply an outstanding playing and sounding guitar.

Just last week I took delivery of a “minty fresh” (truly like new) Talladega. It is the best Hamer I have ever owned.
