  1. 4 sets of rnr covers have gotta be fun. When it’s no longer fun, time to stop, for me. I record ALOT as that Is my passion, and I go to a serious monthly blues jam where I really let it rip simply because I can. I let it rip simply because it is fun to do so and I still love doing it. A proper pick slide still sends chills up my spine and puts a smile on my face. When it stops being fun, I’ll stop. I am almost 62 and I don’t see or feel that happening anytime soon…
  2. Concentrate on your originals. You have answered your own question.
  3. Praying for you right now. Get through this, brother!
  4. Christmas 1978 was a cheap one pickup POS electric in sunburst from the JC Penney catalog…it came with a POS solid state amp. Man, was I happy. AN ELECTRIC GUITAR!! First thing I tried to play the moment Impicked it up was the Ted Nugent solo on Wang Dang Sweet Poontang. Within 2 years I had upgraded to a used 1976 Gibson Explorer after seeing the shark on the cover of Women and Children First.
  5. You guys got me into Wilko and Dr. Feelgood…and English pub rock/blues rock is right up my alley. Such good stuff!
  6. Are you having any playing issues due to the alleged neck issue? I am just asking because this was just about the binding initially. Does it play like normal? How does the need for a neck reset present itself?
  7. I would LOVE to have it, but too rich for my blood.
  8. This seller is VERY legit and posts here. Great guy.
  9. I have Keeley Dynomyroto that works for me on those very rare occasion where I actually want chorus.
  10. Praying for you right now. curious…did you have any pre-stroke symptoms?
  11. Wow, that is perfect with the cream covers and the third pickup.what a rocker.
  12. Yup, EVH, Angus, and lots of late 70s rockers used the original SD unit…kinda like the Echoplex….the preamp becomes a major part of the tone.
  13. GLWTS.I have a Lake Placid CruiseBass with the matching headstock and the neck is so easy to play.
  14. …or here. The HFC is where you want to buy your USA Hamers, @ARM OF HAMER.As you well know, we take care of each other here. What are you looking for?
  15. That is the one I do regret selling….
  16. If you have uncovered buckers you like, it might be easier to just buy a set of gold covers….you can even have someone age/patina them.
  17. The All Down The Line guitar story is cool….Ted Newman showed up in France with a Rickenbacker for Keith. He immediately removed the 6th string and tuned it to open G to play the rhythm for ADTL. Taylor then picked it up in open G and played the slide fills and solos. Other than Brian playing a 360/12 on several early Stones tunes (most notably Get Off My Cloud) I cannot think of another Stones song featuring a Ric.
  18. Day-um. And it is the right color and the right board to boot.
  19. Congrats on a unique and gorgeous Standard.
