  1. @cmatthes is the Daytona neck pocket different from a standard Fender Strat?
  2. Truth right here lol
  3. I freaking loved the neck on the T51 I had…this is tempting….to just buy and build a guitar around…
  4. @Dnomsed, an offer of $350 is a tradition here, dating back to when one could actually snag a used Hamer for that amount. It is a nod to many, many great deals here (we treat each other very well) as well as a running joke and an acknowledgement of how expensive gear has gotten. Freaking @JGale upped the ante, so let’s just end this with a cool $355 offer from me that awaits your approval at any point in the future. 😎
  5. Damnit! @Steve Hayniebeat me to it….
  6. I ordered these. Haven’t tried Tite-fits in a long time.
  7. Dang.Never had a proper Hamer shredder either….
  8. What does the mini-switch do on the Cent? Blower? Coil-tap?
  9. I visited the Couch shop in LA several years ago…cool peeps Thre, musicians all. A small, dedicated, happy crew. I did have one nitro MJT body melt at the rear strap pin when I left a Couch strap on with the guitar in contact with the vinyl end of the strap. My fault…I knew better and forgot it for two days… I still use and love Couch straps, I just don’t leave them on a nitro guitar once I am done playing.
  10. That blows serious chunks and is indicative of what is wrong with “modern” country music. Dreck.
  11. I played an Eagle once in 1984 in a USAF tech school dorm. I taught the owner “Lick and a Promise” on it, appropriately enough. Congrats on a beautiful and eminently cool guitar.
  12. I have a shit ton of good old USA and Euro 12au7s….None of my amps use them though…
  13. Well the Dirty Knobs were freaking amazing. Best concert I’ve seen in years. Straight up rock and roll with no gimmicks or other crap. Campbell has really settled into his frontman role.
  14. Made for a cool album cover. I loved their schtick…2 chick-magnets and 2 clowns. It made for a great show and image.
  15. I agree with @RobB. His tone is awful but OMG his level of precision picking and speed is ridiculous..,but those expressive bends speak to me more…much more. They convey emotion and a vocal connotation. But damn, dude is fast and precise. I am happy with tremolo picking clean single note lines…lol…he rips….even if it’s not my cuppa.
  16. Agreed. The L500 is typically VERY responsive to the tone and vol knobs…that’s why I called it versatile. BL pickups are hifi and different than most. Don’t be afraid to radically move the amp eq or back off that tone knob to get the sound you are looking for.
  17. I have never owned a Sunburst. That one looks just perfect.
  18. The 500L is a stupendous pickup. Sustainblock. A versatile 1 pickup rocker.
