Billy Bremner’s Rockfiles Last Night
Jakeboy replied to Jakeboy's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I didn’t ask him about that specific Sunburst, though I had it in mind. Peder Sundahl was the drummer indeed. Bassist was Swedish too, I believe, but the 2nd guitarist was Bobby Cochran, kin to Eddie Cochran. -
It was a great show! Pure simple rock and roll done right! Me and my buddy got their early and hung out backstage at a KC blues dive for sound check. Then we wandered into the green room, talked to the bassist and left when the rest of the band came. They played everything I wanted to hear except Switchboard Susan and They Called It Rock…but I quibble. The drummer was fantastic and sang the Nick Lowe parts. Bobby Cochran played second guitar through a BF Twin Revrb while Billy played a Tele all night through a tweed Jackson Ampworks amp. Billy was slow moving and stiff but his fingers could still fly on the fingerboard. Pub rock and roll as it was meant to be. I spoke to Billy after the show and showed him my Hamer shirt and asked if he still played his Hamers and he said “No, but I should. They’re fantastic guitars!” He still has his Sunburst and loves it. Kind guy. Had a blast singing along. Small crowd at first but the outdoor venue filled up and everyone sang along. So it goes…

They are my faves. Mojotone makes some that are similar…

Joe and Brad got their first Mockingbirds during the Draw The Line sessions and used them same day on Milk Cow Blues. Joe has an old Supro that He especially digs for slide, @cmatthes…it is the one he used on Monkey On My Back from Pump…

Joe Bonamassa just posted a pic of this Hamer

I’d love to see him playing a Shishkov, but no way in hell am I giving up 0006 to him or anyone else. -
As a huge Perry fan, I was unaware he had an M3! I wish he would have posed with that on the cover of “Joe Perry” instead of the Gretsch.

Cherone is great, IMO. I dig his work with Perry, too. Old vids of him live with VH show that he is not the problem at all.

I actually like those. -
1. Brand new Lovepedal Blue Mystic Cot-Eternity dual pedal. Used thrice. The Cot side is great but I have that base covered. The Eternity side is based on the TS and I am the only guitarist on Earth who cannot get a good tone out of a TS. This was the final Lovepedal dirt I HAD to try. Wanted one for years. Now it’s gotta go to fund a fuzz. SOLD 2. Monsterpiece STUD Klone.- best and cleanest wiring in the business. Richard is fantastic. This is a killer clean boost but I am not a Klone guy either. Special enclosure that is starlight something or other. It is black with blue starlight metal flake. Really pretty while it does the Klone thing. Does the clean boost thing very well. Has a battery off switch so you can leave it plugged in without wearing down the battery. Also takes a standard 9 volt power supply. $120 shipped OBO. 3. Ernie Ball JHS modded volume pedal VP JR that I bought for a project that didn’t work out. SOLD 4. Lovepedal SuperSix SRV mod So Naked. Like a regular flat Super Six but with enhanced Mids ala a TS into a BF Fender. Works into tweed and brown Fender types too. Records well. Cheapest on the verb is $137 shipped so let’s do mine at $120 shipped obo All pedals have stick on feet as I don’t use Velcro or real pedal boards. Trade needs: boutique FF, Mk1, or Mk2. Quality expression pedal to use with my Belle Epoch Deluxe. Or an ebow. Attachments IMG_1070.jpeg 115.7 KB · Views: 53

Hendrick Generator.....Kurt's Back!
Jakeboy replied to The Shark's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Dibs on @The Shark’s SG Junior and didn’t Bad Brad Whitford have one of these Hendrick types…? Use it on Chiquita video? Maybe? -
But.., to answer your question, no…your idea isn’t stupid if it helps you navigate the neck and play better. For me that simply means playing more..,and familiarity with a guitar sure helps me know where to go on the neck without thinking or looking. So please proceed with your neck mod. I would try it first on a guitar I cared less about..,but that’s just me.

The more we play the better we know the neck. You won’t need markers. Your hands will go there automatically.

Five Bands That Hated Their Biggest Hit
Jakeboy replied to crunchee's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Page doesn’t hate Stairway. He loves it. And, for good reason. A perfectly crafted guitar masterpiece. Aerosmith made Dream On rock harder to fit their set. Listen to the incendiary version on Live Bootleg.
