cmatthes Posted Friday at 02:46 PM Posted Friday at 02:46 PM If this isn’t a refin, it’s incredibly clean! https://reverb.com/item/97268839-hamer-usa-firebird-ii-2-guitar-with-case-1980s-white 5 Quote
Mike Brooks Posted Friday at 03:05 PM Posted Friday at 03:05 PM I’m going to take a look at it tomorrow. 5 Quote
velorush Posted Friday at 03:05 PM Posted Friday at 03:05 PM Poor thing's never been played! Such neglect! 4 Quote
kizanski Posted Friday at 04:54 PM Posted Friday at 04:54 PM No visible cracks along the Floyd nut holes. Unheard of. 4 Quote
cmatthes Posted Friday at 05:07 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:07 PM I still think it’s a refin, but might trek over to see it in person. 1 Quote
ARM OF HAMER Posted Friday at 07:30 PM Posted Friday at 07:30 PM Wow! I'd own that..................if the finish is original, that would be incredibly cool! These don't show up often and as has been noted in the past they aren't making any more. Quote
The_Cali_Kid Posted Friday at 11:23 PM Posted Friday at 11:23 PM Very cool looking guitar. Never played one myself, but upon reading up on them in this forum and elsewhere over the years I’m led to believe their looks aren’t matched by their playability, unless you happen to be 6’4” or above with long arms. That being said, this one looks so nice I’m tempted to roll the dice. Quote

Atomic is my all-time favorite shop, and the gang there is the best, but I still think that’s a refin and a redone serial. 6 Quote
Saul Goodman Posted Saturday at 01:22 PM Posted Saturday at 01:22 PM Why are they offering it in a gig bag when it's photographed in a case? 2 Quote
veatch Posted Saturday at 03:09 PM Posted Saturday at 03:09 PM Might be a closet queen. The plastic cover is still on the control cover plate.... 1 Quote
Dave Scepter Posted Saturday at 04:21 PM Posted Saturday at 04:21 PM I noticed that as well, or perhaps it's just a new control cover from "Frets On The Net" That's where I got mine from for my Scarab, and I believe it still had the plastic on it Quote
Mike Brooks Posted Saturday at 04:27 PM Posted Saturday at 04:27 PM If it hasn’t sold in the next 15 minutes or so, I’ll be seeing it in person. I’ll let everyone know… 3 Quote
Mike Brooks Posted Saturday at 04:46 PM Posted Saturday at 04:46 PM I have it in hand. It plays like a dream. I can’t tell if it’s a refin or not. If it is, it’s a good one. Question though, the serial number is just printed on and a quick lookup says possibly 2014. Quote
Mike Brooks Posted Saturday at 05:01 PM Posted Saturday at 05:01 PM Well…either way….it’s going home with me….. 14 Quote

I’m 95+% convinced that’s a refin with a redone serial, but it’s damned cool. 1 Quote
Mike Brooks Posted Saturday at 06:14 PM Posted Saturday at 06:14 PM They knocked off $500 and I traded a few things even up. That was a quick google search of the serial number….not accurate 4 Quote
murkat Posted Saturday at 10:29 PM Posted Saturday at 10:29 PM Knobs too close to strings, bridge. Pass hard. Quote

You should definitely black light the guitar to make sure no neck issues. Edited Monday at 09:49 PM by HamStd 4 1 Quote

I've paid too much for some of the best guitars on the planet (IMHO). I let their market value "catch up" to what I paid. Enjoy! 5 2 Quote
