GusS Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Never noticed this thread before. Had to add mine quickly. what's the name of that vibrato and how stable is it?
gorch Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 The ever lasting answer: Schaller LP tremolo that is pretty stable and nice to play with.
GusS Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 yes! the BMW of LP trems! Ich will eins but it's bloody $179 here! Are they easy to find for cheap back in its motherland?PS: did you string through the stop tailpiece, or did you keep it as a dummy?
RobB Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 My beloved '95 dotneck, recently re-purchased from srvwannabe. Soon to get a refret/plek, Dimarzio double-creme 36th Anniv PAFs and creme toggle ring.

Are they easy to find for cheap back in its motherland?PS: did you string through the stop tailpiece, or did you keep it as a dummy? There is no used trem available at the moment in Germany. The one in the picture was bought used for something $130 as far as I remember. Working perfectly. The stop tailpiece was put back on for optical reasons. It even provides a more substantial hand support. The trem wouldn't work if strings would have been throughed to the stop tail. There was interest to put a larger order together here at the HFC recently to save on shipping. Eventually, it did not materialize as far as I recon.I'd store a bay query and will ping in the club when there's something available.
