Feynman Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 That is all. I think that's a very silly price for what you get.
santellavision Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Silly low. These are great amps that are very underated.
BubbaVO Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 The Mesa Maverick and TM60 remain in the closet. The Superchamp XD does the trick for me.
Crwth145 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Add about $25 for the footswitch (not included)...
Brooks Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 great amp. even tho i don't need it, i'm tempted to get another at this price (sold mine awhile back to JackC).
kenjones Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Will these get loud enough to play with a band at rehearsal or play at a gig un-miked? I am always hesitant to get an map with a 10" speaker because I feel like it won't get loud enough.
Monacosis Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 dammit. i'm gettin' ready to unload mine.my timing is impeccable...
django49 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 And available with free shipping and no tax depending upon where you buy.......Might as well get the footswitch at the same time.
BubbaVO Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Mine gets along very well with my visual sound and seymour duncan pedals. It offers plenty of bang for buck. As far as loud goes, it's 15 watts and plenty loud for me. But I don't gig. Check out the threads about the amp here and at other places and see what you think.
Brooks Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Will these get loud enough to play with a band at rehearsal or play at a gig un-miked? I am always hesitant to get an map with a 10" speaker because I feel like it won't get loud enough.gets quite loud, def loud enough to rehearse. i've gigged mine mic'd & w/ the line out run into the PA; def would work on a show w/ non-slamming drummer, if you got it up barstool high & there wasn't people standing directly infront of it (narrow beam of sound disappears on a crowded stage/crowded front of club).
Brooks Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 dammit. i'm gettin' ready to unload mine.my timing is impeccable...mike, check your PM
harry65 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Will these get loud enough to play with a band at rehearsal or play at a gig un-miked? I am always hesitant to get an map with a 10" speaker because I feel like it won't get loud enough. i gig 4 days a week with mine , a speaker change is needed though if you're gonna gig , for bedroom it's fine , i run mine thru a 2x12 open back avatar with older eminence greenback clones , can't imagine needing anything else........
django49 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Here is an idea that might be useful to expand the usefulness and projection of a small combo.......I think I will make one and try it out with the XD,Sorta looks like it would work as a quasi-Thiele cab.http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/msg/2735630124.html
Brooks Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 someone used to manufacture an amp stand like that. great idea.
Feynman Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 If I was/were a rich man, you'd each have one in your stocking this year.I wonder if they are being discontinued or something. Some places are out of stock, but it looks like MF, M123, Music Zoo and others still have some for 199 shipped.

If they're discontinuing them , ti's a shame, 'cause it's a cool little amp,,,
morningstar Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I love mine. Stock tubes OK, Tung Sols better, NOS Sylvanias and this is impossible to beat for the price. If they can improve the XD then good for them. I don't know what they could do... maybe a 12 inch speaker?morningstar
GC Ron Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 No longer on the Fender website. I have not heard of a replacement yet. Nice amp, I got mine a couple of years ago. Sounds great through my 2X12 rectifier cab.http://www.fender.com/products/index.php?section=guitaramplifiers&price_range=[100+TO+499.99]
cynic Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 The removal from the website was just in the last day or two as I was there either Thursday or Friday and the SCXD was there.
hamerhead Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Well, I just bit. I'm a Fender guy and was looking for a grab-and-go amp. I was considering the Mustang 2 (40W, 1x12, but solid state), but the tubes sold me. Looking forward to it.
Pieman Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 If you go to Amazon.com, one vendor is also including an 18-foot cable and a bunch of guitar picks.
