Got an interesting Dean up for sale here, people.

I purchased this from Dick Regenberger (U.S. Masters, Regenberger Guitars) in 2010. It was listed on the Regenberger guitars website (along with matching Z and ML) as a recently finished build of a NOS Dean Time Capsule. It was originally from an early signed/numbered run but, along with the matching Z and ML, was finished in 2010

Get THIS: No serial number and the "Made in USA" is hand-inked on the headstock. This is NOT a prototype but a very early, USA build by US Masters. It was refretted with Jescar 6100s, PLEKKED and a new, bone nut installed by Tim Frick @Gary Brawer's shop in late 2010. Tim's fretwork is amazing and he does all of my guitars. This V is very light, plays beautifully with low, buzz-free action. Bends are a breeze with no fretting-out. The neck has the classic, Dean "rounded-over" binding and "V"-shape carve, though the profile is much softer and a bit more rounded than many Deans i've owned.

Besides the above-mentioned work, the guitar is absolutely stock and in near new condition. There is a little tarnishing on the nickel-plated string-plate and the bridge. The sunburst color varies in my pics, but it is more of a tobacco sunburst than Dean's darker, "Brasilia Burst." I went over the guitar very carefully and couldn't find any flaws. The flame top is subtle, but has some nice, 3D movement. The OHSC is in excellent condition with a couple of tiny tolex scuffs, as pictured. Case key, truss rod allen wrench and TonePros allen wrench included.

TonePros locking bridge

One-piece mahogany neck

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. The HFC is the BEST!

Damn. VERY nice. Any trade interests, +/- cash?

I would prefer to sell it outright, Dave. I'm trying to thin the herd a bit.

Never say never, though. Whaddaya got?

I'm the loser that had to back out. I was going to be held to the one-in and one-out rule and I'm not prepared to sell anything. I feel terrible.

However - this is a great guitar. I used to go to the US Masters shop - it was near where I used to live - and I remember this guitar. The US masters guitars are really well made, they used good wood and had fast necks. Someone other than me will be very happy.

V-shaped neck?

Posted

Yes, it has the "v" shape to the neck, but the back of the neck is a bit softer and not as sharp as many Deans I've owned. Very comfortable, especially when wrapping the thumb around for bending.

Rob, if you need someone to post them there for you, gene or I can probably help.

Thanks, Dave. I suppose l should register there, but l feel weird about doing that just to sell a guitar. Any help would be very much appreciated. I can be reached at: FLyInG v aT SbC gLOBaL dOt nET
