DBraz Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I thought it may be useful for one of us to start a thread fro Shishkov Custom's that are specifically not "Ultimate" shaped?If any of you are like me there are other more enjoyable shapes and I expect we'll see some weird and wonderful designs/requests given time once Mike is well and truly underway with the Ultimate series.Personally I have hit the button on a build from Mike that is not Ultimate shaped with a few slightly unusual selections in terms of woods and colours. I cannot WAIT to see what happens when the build starts.

I'll be thinking of starting with the body shape of the TLE...but with a neck the radius / shape / thickness of my Hamer Daytona. I love my TLE but my hand gets tired playing that for any extended period of time. But the Daytona fits...no fatigue from playing that for hours. But that'll be after the Ultimate.

I've tried twice and had to sell because of ergonomics for -me-.Really like to see something similar to Robins Fleetwood. Firebirdish but on a smaller scale.
zorrow Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I have one CO in line, but it's not a Standard. It's something very cool, though not weird at all. I'm still on the process of designing it. A couple of hints to well-known models will be there, as well as my own thing plus the master's own contribution. Something I absolutely wanted is that it needed to be a Shishkov on its own, not a Hamer copy. I think some will be quite surprised when they'll see what we'll come with. Cannot tell more for now. Ya know, I love the weird pointy shape guitars. If there was an island of misfit guitars I would set sail and load up. However, this is one of the few guitars that I think that only the luither could love...that an the eclipse 6 string. Hamerica
