A bunch of TLE's. They are rare though.

I'm going to need to see photos of this 25.5" scale Newport.

I would say a "handful" of TLEs. Almost all were short-scale.

I've only seen around a half-dozen long-scale TLEs after specifically searching for them over ten years.

I'm thinking the long-scale ones were all custom orders, since a few of them were artist guitars and a few seemed to have custom neck profiles...probably made for Fender Tele players to swing them over to Hamer.

A 25" Newport would be killing. Many times I wished mine were long scale.

Sorry, HHB. Pictures, or it didn't happen.

...and I wouldn't consider 25" "long scale," but that's another discussion for another day.

A beautiful machine, to be sure.

Yeah, it's beautiful, but I don't believe that Hamer retooled the Newport (for a scale that they didn't even use) just because some clown in Tampa says so in his Reverb ad.

Seriously, if we believed everything we read on eBay and Reverb...

I'd need to see the Custom Order Certificate (or hear from another HFC-er who's played one and who knows what he's talking about).

And again... 25" is not "long scale."

To be fair, HHB never called it long scale, he only corrected someone who mistakenly did.

That said, (if it is in fact 25" scale) it's longer than 24.75, and 24.666, 24.5 and 23.5. What should we call it that will pass your muster?

THAT is the one I was referencing, as it turns out, it is his word that says it's 25" which is close enough that it could be an error in his measuring.
