BadgerDave Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Cherry sunburst 2003 Gibson Les Paul 1959 reissue. I picked this one from about 20 R8s and R9s at Dave's Guitars in Lacrosse. This one was the loudest of the bunch unplugged and resonates strongly. Very balanced sweet tone. The photos are not retouched or enhanced, but the angle and lighting slightly emphasize the flame in the body. There's plenty of flame, but it doesn't appear quite as strong as in the photos from all angles. The BurstBucker 1 and 2 pickups may have been in and out, but, if so, the soldering was professionally done. Everything looks 100% original, and that is how it was represented to me when I bough it. Unfortunately, I did not receive the Certificate of Authenticity. Comes with the original Custom Shop black case. It is an outstanding Les Paul. Lightweight at 8 lbs. 9oz. It does not have a Brazilian fretboard. I have a prettier one that's been modified, as well as a Triple Threat, so this one is redundant. SOLD - Thanks

JustKid Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Not sure what Gibson is doing nowdays, but 2003 is my favorite year. Got 2 of them and would gladly get this one as well. The fact that flamed maple doesn't jump on you is even more desirable to me. Perfect weight.
