Apparently there is an extra input jack that is in the case.  I'm guessing the jack was part of the circuit thingy?  We'll see.  I haven't seen too many Manaco's with the old school Trap inlays.  Kind of looks like a nice mix of old and new.  We'll see!

I called them.  Thanks for letting us know!

I much prefer those. Congrats. Ebony too!

Does anybody know what color this is? And, I've never seen a Monaco Elite with Crown Inlays on ebony.  Must have been a custom order, maybe?

In another thread, I asked this same question about this very same guitar (Crown Inlays), and was told by one of the reliable 'old timers' here that it was an upgrade for that year.

A stereo jack is needed to disengage the power after you unplug the cord from the guitar. You can swap it back, or just not use the ring connection on the stereo jack.

Congrats on the guitar. Hope it's a winner!

Interesting.  I changed a pickup on my newly acquired Newport.  I  found that it had a stereo jack as original from the factory.   But it was being used mono.  Well the guitar is completely pristine in every way and it looked like the electronics were untampered with at all, so I assume it was factory.

you'll probably get bit o honey, which I'm not a fan of... maybe banana laffy taffy which isn't too bad...

Philadelphia Luthier supply on ebay is pretty good, they ship fast...

note:  alot of sellers on there offer import knobs (typically for $5 a set) and

they aren't real clear (will say for les paul etc)...  they won't fit.

Try Big Sammy's House O' Gear at Reverb. He had some, not sure if he still does.

That's what I was thinking, I recently purchased a set of NOS Hamer amber knobs from him to replace a couple with small cracks in them (yeah, I know, I'm anal).

He doesn't have anything listed right now, but I'd contact him anyway, I'm pretty sure he still has a bunch of unlisted stuff.

Wow! Didn't realize he was closed. I just got some parts from him yesterday so hopefully he's just taking a break.

Thanks, Dave!  So, the Gibson USA knobs will fit?  Sorry for the stupid question!

the Gibson knobs will fit on usa spline cts pots,  I've been using them on my Hamers whenever I

I've needed to...  That said,  I never compared them closely enough to a Hamer knob,    just felt it's

a 2 cent plastic part and not worth sourcing actual NOS Hamer knobs.

Wow! That is so nice. I've loved a nice trans black since the first Joe Perry Les Paul came out. The finish on this one is quite nice. Congrats!

I've officially explored the absolute edge of my  skill as a luthier.

New knobs on!

edited to add- they are Gibson knobs, so I feel just a little bit superior   ;)
