Yeah, that's my old '96.
Custom ordered by a Kaman/Hamer salesman who sold it to me. A one-of-a-kind as far as I can tell.
I sold it about 4 years ago.

Nice.  Acoustic voice?

Seriously though, cool starvation box.

You do know the hardware can be "changed," right?  😉

You "gold haters," come on now, look at that GUITAR!!! Love it. Too bad I'm neck deep into an LS1 rebuild on car at the moment...

@Travis was hoping he would never have to see this one again.

Yeah…. I saw this last night and started thinking about how I could swing it…. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I think the gold against the red looks great. The gold undertones in the wood sets it off nicely.

Yeah, this is probably the best example of how gold hardware can work, cuz I’m usually not a fan.

It really is a beautiful guitar and with the bridge 'bucker, sculpted heel and quilt top, it must surely be a one-off.

Shame you didn't get it when it was $800 cheaper, you know, from me...

Everything about it screams one-off. They really should have made a version with that combination of features.

Same guy ordered this for himself.
I bought them both from him out of the trunk of his car - lol.

No, I'm Hamer-less.

@foodermon owns that one now.

What are the pickups in the hss?

No idea.  I never pulled them to see.

That was my guitar. I traded it to Jay Wolfe. It’s a great player. I’m 90% sure the bridge HB is a JB. Not sure what the neck and middle are but they balance out volume wise with the JB. The mini toggle is a blower switch that engages the bridge humbucker only.

For being a former Hamer dealer, Wolfe knows jack shit about the guitars!  :D

- I don't know what year...serial starts with a "6".

-  "It's a brilliant example of the awesome instruments from the Conn. Hamer shop."  (except it's very clearly an Arlington Heights build).

- No smoke smell?  I mean, KIZ OWNED IT!!

And far be it for me to nit-pick, but the guitar might be "like" new (it was when I sold it), but it sure as shit ain't "brand new."
That description is normally reserved for guitars that have never been sold.  This particular guitar was excluded from that group over a quarter century ago.

Sitting at the bar at our local Mexican restaurant. Just ordered our second Negra Modelos after hitting up our favorite pizza/pub happy hour for 3 rounds before this.

And as soon as the wife gets back from the bathroom I am showing her this listing…
