That might be an auto-fill detail by Reverb. The headstock looks like a USA model.

It's kinda important to make sure the seller makes a clear distinction between a $500+ guitar and a $5000+ guitar besides the listed price, don't ya think?

It is described as a USA Hamer. The headstock says, “Hamer USA,” and the rear headstock photo clearly shows the LE, “004”, underneath the serial number. A potential buyer willing to drop $6k on a rare guitar  certainly knows what this is and couldn’t possibly confuse it with a cheap import. Couldn’t get much clearer than that.

The 1995 run of Korina Standards are something extra, indeed. Boom. 💥

I agree, details are important. Sometimes people are ignorant about the auto fill process and in their haste overlook it.

Certainly, but if you're looking to get $6,000 for a guitar, how's about a little effort?  Research?  Proofreading?

I agree with you. Perhaps I was not being clear enough in my reply.

same shop has a korina Vector (regular production) for the same price. Reminds me of something downstairs that needs restringing...

We both have 'em slung lowww and you're playing the harmony to my noodling (looking like a player).
Going on 20 years ago, FFS.  My long lost hair and my old teeth are a dead giveaway.

What you potentially get is an XT with the glory details written forth and back of the headstock with a permanent marker. B)

Very thin neck carve!

  • Neck Profile: "C" shape, 0.836" deep @ 1st Fret, 0.907" deep @ 12th Fret

It's a nice carve but far from "Very Thin".

My Californians are very thin.

Does this wood impart some sort of tonal difference, compared to mahogany? And if so what's it like?

To me, korina seems to have a little more midrange.  It is not bright, but you can tell there is a shift from mahogany.
