  1. I turned it off the second Kanye West came on the screen. He's beyond worthless in my book. Watched "Flight of the Conchords" instead - guess I missed some stuff later, but I'll YouTube it...
  2. The tough part is finding one that is both light AND has a rosewood board.
  3. They're not for me, but if you like yours, that's fine. I've played some I really liked, but 99% of them look either overdone, forumlaic or the wear is nothing like I've seen in three decades of handling a LOT of vintage guitars.
  4. I heard back from him earlier tonight. Ditto on no case, but he doesn't want to ship it.
  5. I want THAT one.
  6. Fixed! (you left out the " / " on the trail "IMG" code... it should have looked like this )
  7. The Epi "Korina" Explorers from the original run back in the late-90s aren't bad at all, and are probably on par with the MIK Hamer Standards I've played. I agree with Zorrow that the stock pickups really aren't bad in those models - it isn't going to get you that boo-tikey tone, but you're also paying a whole lot less, and it'll get you where you need to go. The more recent Epis I've checked out (with my son, before he bought his MIM Strat) were pretty lame, honestly. I haven't done a side-by-side with the newer XT Hamers, but I wasn't impressed. I'd look for a deal on the older Epis or MIK Standards - good bang for the buck.
  8. I don't know...that looks an awful lot like a 3d grader's safety-scissors-and-gluestick work to me: Seriously. That's the BEST they could come up with?
  9. Ahhhh... Excellent point. I was overlooking the obvious there!
  10. Agreed on that crappy cover. Mattias is a monster guitarist - no wonder he always has that smile on his face when he's playing.
  11. Especially if the high bidder is west of the Rockies!
  12. Looks like it comes with a real, live Phantom case too. Those always seem to go missing, much like Daytona cases and my left socks...
  13. They were offered at the second HFC Day at the factory in '99. Very small run, dictated by the very small supply of usable Sustainblocks they had at the time (Sustainblocks hadn't been used on a production guitar then for just under 10 years, and they were left over from Arlington Hts.).
  14. The infamous, "SB77", the second HFC Limited Edition guitar: The tops weren't so hot on them though...
  15. Definitely fantasy, but I don't think that we'd be able to scrape up 10 HFC'ers willing to drop well in excess of $5k each (street price) for those. If they would consider doing those, it would definitely not be cheap! The $350 rule would not apply here.
  16. Oops - forgot Stonge's Greenburst Standard 8 string.
  17. So far today, I'm liking the 0706 Standard... If that one is already taken (it is), then I'll take "my" Electraglide, please!
  18. Badger is correct - the Eclipse run was over by a few years when the Hipshot BG bridge was out. I'd say definitely not original.
  19. ALL of those redwood tops are just amazing. Nik's stuff is primo.
  20. If it's redwood, it can be burled. Not real crazy about that figure myself either.
  21. Obviously, you haven't seen HIS sex tape...
  22. More cool pics. That Goldtop is the $#!+ !!!
