Montelovesco Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) do you loose during a year? Me: a lot… ETA: I know it is the wrong brand. But then it is checkerboard… Edited 5 hours ago by Montelovesco 2 Quote
velorush Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I generally keep a Jazz III (red only, please) in my pocket and am oddly able to keep up with it until the edges are worn sufficiently to throw it away. I can't recall the last time I lost a pick. 1 Quote
G Man Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago As a Blue Chip user, I manage to no longer lose my picks. It's like sunglasses, the cheapies disappear in weeks/months, the pricey ones stay with me until they are too scratched to use anymore. 2 1 Quote
django49 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I have long since settled on V-Picks, or sometimes Gravity. They are harder to drop or lose. Price may have something to do with being careful.🤔 That little 5th pocket on blue jeans seems to be a pretty secure place to keep one at hand. 3 Quote
Montelovesco Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Seems logic - but what do you use to throw at your fans? Cheap copies? 😁 1 Quote

One was lifted from and Open Mic music stand. Nothing so expensive for me any more. 1 2 Quote

Nicer ones seem to be the ones that get lost. A few years ago there were bags of picks on eBay sold by someone closing down a music store. They have the store name on them. Big deal. So, there are a few picks in the guitar cases and bags nearly full. There ought to be plenty of picks in each guitar case, but my trait of being cheap keeps that from happening. With a gross of cheap picks there ought to be no worries about them getting lost or wearing out. Quote
Dr. Bear Posted 10 minutes ago Posted 10 minutes ago Stopped using picks in the early ‘80s. Problem solved… …except not quite: cracked a fingernail on my picking hand midway through a 27 hour 4-flight trip to a gig in Singapore. (Still don’t believe that none of the flight attendants had an emory board or nail file.) Quote
