Looks good on you.

Ted gave me a free bowl of soup with it when he sold it to me.

Great shots, but you wanna borrow my lime green tux jacket?

Everytime I see a shot of that pedalboard, my first thought is how heavy that sucker is.

That's some tasty playing and fine tone. It does look good on you.

I have heard the Boss TU-12H is a very toneful tuner. Did you do the Keeley "G LED" mod and change the caps?

Don't forget changing out the transistors to germanium. All those other mods are useless without the germainums!

Yep, looks like he swapped out the indicator needle for the Calaham CNC'd one, too. Very nice tuner!

Edited to add [in all seriousness]: I liked that cut so much I listened to all six you had posted there. Very nice work. Any more posted anywhere?

You weigh 140 right? It might be heavier than you!

There are 16 tracks (mastered for free by our own Colin) at the ReverbNation link in my sig; those comprise our demo. I also post 10 edits from every jam on our MySpace page; I'll have a new set up later today.

I used to have an entire website with over 500 recordings uploaded, but that thing went tits up about a year ago, and I can't get anyone to help me get it back up and running. I still have all the recordings, though, so that's good. SoundClick will have to do for now; I add a new edit every Friday.

Chris, it sounds Great man, I Feel it, you close with this cut pretty much on the regular?

Everything we play is improvised on the spot. In 5+ years we've never played the same thing twice.

I gotta get me one of those...it makes you look skinny. LOL!!!

God knows I can use all the help I can get in that area.

Sounds good! But what are you gargling in that second shot?

-Austin

Electric shock. The wiring sucks in this new venue we're playing at.

Sounds good. Always liked the looks and tone of a single cut but never could go back due to the ergonomics.

(My first electric was an LP copy)

How do you like the Maxon AF-9?

Love it. Far superior to my ears than the Emma Discumbobulator, which is the cat's-ass envelope filter among all the Mogami-cable-using corksniffers out there.

AF-9s are great! That is what I would use if I didn't have my old 70's EH Zipper.

I completely agree. The Emma has a wider range, but doesn't sound as chewy and organic as the AF-9. I think the trend with envelope filter users is over-the-top funkiness and control over the parameters at the expense of tone. I've owned an AF-9 for about 8 years now, and my previous frame of reference for envelope filters were the boss units like the dynamic filter, t-wah, etc. The AF-9 blew them all away.

Since then, I've tried the Emma, Pigtonix, old MXR filter and several others. All came and went.

Even if I get my grubby hands on a vintage Mutron III, the holy grail for me, I would still keep the AF-9.

BTW, I saw a video of Stevie Wonder with the old Boss Dynamic filter on his keyboard. He sounded good with it-maybe I'll send him an AF-9.

Yep. Here's a clip of one of my cohorts getting the absolute most out of my AF-9 and CMatMods Deeelay in combination, certainly more than I've ever gotten out of them:

This guy can step up to any rig or pedalboard and make them sound amazing. Pure '70s blaxploitation sounds if you ask me.

Chris,

It's great to see her in very, very good hands!

Her Flame and Amberburst are still one of the prettiest tops I've ever seen.
