Once during Christmas MH played with 38 special, Johnny Van Zant and the Outlaws. That show drew a particularly rowdy crowd including myself. Best dang concert that I ever saw. Steve Haynie Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 In the early 2000's Dave told me that guitar belonged to his son. Dave may have been mistaken, or someone is keeping that guitar hidden. Of all the rock star guitars that Confederate flag Standard is about the only one that would get me to sell off all my guitars to get just one. While I was in high school Molly Hatchet came around every six months and I saw that guitar many times. Just about anything those guys played would make me happy, but THAT guitar stood out along with the Flying P built by Dave Petschulat.

The shape was like this: Now, imagine that with a carved maple top in a dark tea burst. There are photos out there, but it seems hard to find one.

The Shark Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I saw Hatchet so many times I lost count. The original line-up was my favorite. Bought a couple guitars and amps from Duane when he lived in Longwood. They played the Wreck Bar in Daytona Beach what seemed like every month. Dave had one of the best live sounds I've every heard. Every time!

Or They're sitting in a pawn shop in Vegas or Nashville somewhere like RVZ's $25K Black Texas High Roller Hat. Steve Hollands 63' strat has been for sale for a couple of years in various places too.My Hamer Brother Gene and I spotted this a few years back in Tampa on the wall at the Hard Rock Cafe... I scour the net all the time in the winter and see some weird stuff like this Gold Top Standard that I have never seen Dave play. Sure would like to hear the story on that.I do remember a sweet gold top single coil LP he played a LOT... Oh well the thrill of the search go's on but when I do find my Holy Grail Hamer it will be in my hands or on my office wall and not under my bed.
