This should finally put to rest the "why doesn't the angle of the pup match the angle of the neck" question.

Wow!

That is terrible... no need for the pole pieces to be near the strings, it's just a suggestion!

Eh, it *still* doesn't answer the question of why the fretboard edge couldn't have been slanted to match the pickup angle.

... especially if aligning the pole pieces with the strings isn't a factor.

And the more you bash it, the  hornier I get.
Now, if you look at it, you'll notice, that 1st and 6th strings are right above the pole pieces, although on the different bobbins, but still. 2nd and 5th are also almost in the right places and 3rd and 4th are right in between, which can not be bad. Ah...who am I kidding. I love the damn thing.

It's a sobering thought that the visual effect of gorgeously figured, stained, and varnished wood can be completely undone by handing off the pickup installation to a 14-yr-old.

I still can't see it.  When I click on that link I just get their home page and when I try to search for it I come up empty.

I searched the website for it. I think it's been taken down. Maybe JustKid already bought it?

It's not my fault. I told them to either stop or else.

27 frets - good, ebony board - gooood, boomers - goooood. What's not to like? Slanted pickup? Screw that. I have few Kramer shredders and their slanted pickups are as ugly as General Tso's chicken. The most beautiful Kramer you could ever see, that I have in my stash, has the most ridiculously slanted bridge pu. And now that Kramer is gonna have a company.

I think it's not about slanted pickup, it's about Ed Roman's name that still causes people serious itching. Sure he wasn't the nicest guy in the world, but he definitely knew guitars.

Am I the only one noticing that the markers are off center?

The fact that it's not a Hamer body is kind of an issue for me as well.

It's not significantly different, just more obvious than:

I want this guitar very badly.  I haven't ever bonded with Cali Elites, and I don't like double-locking trems anymore, but the idea of scallops and boomers with an ebony board...

I'm sure there's a dibs list somewhere, and I'm at the point in the galaxy furthest from it, but I'd like to be notified if it ever ends up being put up for sale.

I knew there will be someone who'd understand! Thanks Joe!
