Loaded Purple Metalflake Strat Body *Off the Market, and NGD for me*

I just bought this form BadgerDave, but I need to sell due to unexpected expenses.

Fender body with beautiful, purple metalflake done by our own Stike at Rowyco Kustom Finishes. EMG 81, SA, SA pickups, Super-Vee Bladerunner tremolo, Dunlop Straplocks, and an extra MOTS HSS pickguard. Neck pocket holes are countersunk for use without a neckplate, if desired. The whole setup sounded really nice through my Boogie MK IV when I had it assembled.

Full disclosure - I was trying a neck that I think was a tad oversized for the neck pocket and lifted the finish down to the primer right along the lower-edge of the pocket when I removed it. I found an exact match purple, then drop-filled the spot. It's pretty much invisible unless you know what you're looking for. Even with the extreme zoom of the last pic you barely notice that there's a little sparkle missing right along the edge. Super clean repair, if I do say so myself.

*Decided to keep it*

Damn...

I have too many Strats already.  I have too many Strats already.  I have too many Strats already.  I have too many Strats already...

Good thing that one doesn't have a bathtub route or I'd be in trouble.

Strike did an exceptional job on that one -as always.

Warmoth doesn't have any clearance scalloped necks right now.

But they do have a finished 59 profile neck with a 70s headstock and 6150s in the Screaming Deals section. I may have to go further in debt.

Well, it seemed that everyone was only interested in the body, and I can't say I blame you. I kept coming back to Badger's FS ad over and over looking at that pic, waffling several times before finally pulling the trigger. While EMG 81s aren't my favorite bridge humbucker of all time, it certainly brought the rock through my Boogie Mk IV and sounded damn good doing it. And the SAs had the David Gilmour tone in spades. I may keep the EMGs and get a bridge SA the next time I have some spare cash.

But since I really can't afford to buy a decent neck right now, last night I decided to do a little parts swapping. I put my favorite Rumpelstiltskin loaded pickguard and my favorite neck off of an old 2001 Double Fat Strat on it, and viola! Possibly my favorite Strat evah.

Great tone, great sustain, every pickup position could not sound any better. Dave thought it was a MIM body, but looking at the routing, I'm pretty sure it's an USA Hwy One body. While not the pinnacle of Fender bodies, Strats are truly the sum of their parts, and this one is magical. Sure, I might like the look of the all maple neck in Dave's pic above, but I won't be pulling of this neck again.

Off the market, if you couldn't tell.
