DBraz Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 I keep going back for another look at this thread. What a guitar! The extra dimension to the body and bespoke neck heel really sets it off.
G Man Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Those first couple of shots had me thinking this was a very bad idea, but the finished product? Wow, fantastic execution and a very nice looking guitar later, Mike no longer amazes me, I almost expect it.
ptm1diver Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 But it’s missing the Miller High Life painted on it. 🙄 ok, before I get slammed, just kidding, it looks great. Cool one off. Now, the $50.00 question. Is Mike going to make a matching bass? 4,8,or 12 string? 😏

Steve Haynie Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 It makes one wonder if there could be a Shishkov Vinnie Vincent tribute one day.
cmatthes Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 I'm going to say "no" to the VV tribute, but that DID cross my mind when I saw the concept sketches!
bubs_42 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 After the first picture, my mind went to a double neck. I do like the end result better.
scottcald Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Cool! On first view of the body I though it was something for Bootsy Collins.
Toadroller Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I, um... want some of those leftover picks. More rare than my Shishkov "you're in the queue" picks.
Travis Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Very cool story and stunning work on a one of a kind guitar. NIce work all around.

I think there may be another one being built right now with these items.... I like those knobs, IMO they look like the ones Rickenbacker used in the '50's, mainly on their steel guitars. They're definitely a cool look, but of course they're already on a cool guitar!
