Totally agree. And it's probably miles down the line to second place.

To be honest,  at the moment I can’t even think who would be in second place.

Probably the Law & Order - Organized Crime reboot with the return of Stabler. But that's a distant second.

We’re kind of digging “Killing Eve” right now…starting Season 2 this weekend.

I liked Broadchurch quite a bit, another British crime/detective show.

Has the actress who played the Queen from Netflix's the Crown, she's really good.

I find the British shows in general are less stylized than American shows, more natural I guess you could say.

I think I pointed this out on here a decade or so ago during the first season.  My wife was hooked after the first episode and said something like - “Hey!  All these characters are guitar company names!”.

There was also a James Tyler, a Stagg, Larson…

The creator/writer (Alan Cubitt) is an avowed guitar nerd.

And a Hagstrom, standing watch in the hospital.

Main culprit character is a blues fan, too.  I've wondered what the hot blues guitar solo played in the second episode scene in Spector's study came from.  BBC website says it's "Help Me" by Sonny Boy Williamson, who is a harmonica player.  I haven't found a performance with that guitar in it, so I suspect it's a cover by someone else.

Have any of you guy's checked out BritBox? They have a free trail it's all British TV show's and movies.

Serious question: why did you add an apostrophe to "guy's" and "show's" but not to "movies"?

Those dam Apostrophes need to be used and abused now then .

I so want it but I don’t need to pay any additional money to watch tv. It just rubs me the wrong way. That and I’m a cheap bastard by nature.

I did but my experience (using both the Britbox Roku channel and streaming on a laptop) sucked.  Both methods suffered from non-stop buffering issues and there are just too many other options to deal with something akin to downloading porn via 2400 baud dial up internet..  The whole experience felt very pre-beta.

Speaking of X Files, Scullys partner David Duchovny starred in a show called Californication. Duchovny's character was an author (loosely based on Charles Bukowski), and I noticed all his "books" shared the titles w/ Slayer albums; Seasons In The Abyss, South Of Heaven, God Hates Us All, etc...

I need to catch back up on that show. I've had a crush on Gillian Anderson since I was like 12, and I really enjoyed that show.  It's just easy to forget about them.

On a side note, I use songs in the titles of all my conference papers and publications going back to 2017. I used to change them a tad, like "Somebody Google a Doctor!," but have subsequently just started using them as is. Just did a poster session last week for, "The Threat is Real! Verified Twitter, COVID-19 Omicron, and Pandemic Panic."

Newer Megadeth, but it fit.
