cmatthes Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Stike is the MAN!! Well worth the wait and then some... This is the best "Strat" I've ever played. The triple-Trons are pretty damned cool, and incredibly versatile too. Gets great Strat clean, but with a USABLE bridge pickup. A keeper, for sure.
cmatthes Posted November 3, 2006 Author Posted November 3, 2006 Subtle.Damned right. You haven't seen the faux leopardskin case with gold lining yet either...
tafkathundernotes Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Certainly a unique piece. Are those TV Jones 'trons?
elduave Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 When Chris first told me what he was up to I was thought to myself, bah. Well, I was FRIGGIN' WAY WRONG! I don't know much about Strats (never been a Strat guy) but this thing is the bomb. It sounds fantastic, looks KILLER and plays as good as any Strat I've ever strummed. Big ups to the concept, paint, fit and finish. Stike, make mine Key Lime Green w/gold Filtertrons. Folks, that Daytona is a hands down world beater.
pesocaster Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Oh I did NOT need to see this............ DAMN!
JohnnyB Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Oh I did NOT need to see this............ DAMN! You've already got a Strat and a Daytona. Move along.
tomteriffic Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Dayum! If Little Richard was a guitarist...... Or, as somebody once put it: "The product of an illicit liason between a rodded '57 Chevy and it's radio"....

Stike Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Woweewowow. Any "before" pics?No but it was a shade of opaque brown that was beyond lame.
David B Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Ok, Stike let me get this straight... You're in the Piedmont of NC (as am I), you refinish guitars that good, & you haven't done one for me yet!How much for a typical refin???
Steve Haynie Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 It must have taken forever to paint all those tiny white dots on that guitar.
silentman Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 kool! I miss my sparkley Les Paul I had for a while. I wish Ernie Ball still did their sparkle finishes.
Rockola Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Opaque brown? ewww....The p/u combo & the Skeeter-flake is wicked. Me want.
