It's not looking good for him at all...the family is talking about taking him off life support as early as this evening?

He was definitely one of the main reasons I first picked up a guitar as an 11 year old kid.  My first "good" guitar was a Cherry Sunburst Les Paul Custom that I saved up for for a long time...I did have it refinished by PRS in Blue Holoflake, but that's still "Ace Approved" in my opinion.

                                                                         Never a Kiss huge fan but you can't ignore their impact on the music world...............and Ace of course he started many guitarists on their Guitar/Musical journey. He lived a pretty rough life there for a while as did many others but just saying that can have an effect on you in your later years. Then there is Keith...............who is a complete "THRIVER" despite it all.

Ace was my ambassador into the lifelong preoccupation with rock guitar and staggering debt accrued on guitars. My first? A Hondo II Les Paul copy; to be like Ace.

My friends and I saw Ace twice this year.  We saw him twice last year.  We went to any Ace Frehley show within three hours.  We even did seven hours in each direction for a show.  We loved Ace!

What I liked best about Ace was his sense of humor. Gene would sit with a stick up his ass and Ace would be cracking jokes in spite of himself. He also had some good riffs that a young wanna-be me could steal and show off to the girls.

He was the middle outfielder of guitarists. Not incredibly talented, but serviceable, savvy, and smart enough to work within his range.

I don't know if I agree with the widely held assertion that this was Ace's greatest solo or one of the GOAT.

I loved Kiss back in the day. Still listen to them from time to time.

I did. On my Harley.
