BCR Greg Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 I'm filling in for Fortis in Pisser. The bassist is Anthony Esposito. The Pisser drummer is also in Guns and Roses, so he's being replaced by Scott Coogan for this gig. Scott plays in Ace's band. Ace's rig is in Anthony's truck. Ace doesn't mind me banging his stuff.

Are you sure Ace is ok with a stranger twiddling his knobs? I heard that is what got him fired from kiss the last farewell tour??

BCR Greg Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 So now I'm NOT playing the gig Tuesday night...the singer is nervous about having a "new guy" on stage.Singers.
The Shark Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 So now I'm NOT playing the gig Tuesday night...the singer is nervous about having a "new guy" on stage.Singers.A man that learns the setlist, puts in the time and gets THAT call should be paid. I'm just sayin'.
skhan007 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 What an insecure little bitch.+1 on that. This singer sounds like a complete diva. Who was it, Axl Rose?

tbonesullivan Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 so are they bailing on the gig, or just gonna have no guitar player?
BCR Greg Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 They played as a trio, and I hear it was bad.
earachemyeye Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Stupid band name anyway. Won't be long before they'll be in it I'm guessing.
elduave Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 This is the Magnolia of threads! BCR Greg touts playing through Ace's amp as a hired gun with Ace's back up band's project, who's regular hired gun guitarist and/or drummer is playing a Guns N Roses gig (must be a private show 'cause GNR aren't advertised anywhere), RoyB says "Hey, I've got an Ace rig too!" to which Brentrocks posts perhaps the most perturbing picture in HFC history, the Ace amp gig turns out to be a bust and now everyone's bagging on this band (who should really be pointed to this thread, don't ya think?)! You. Guys. Kill. Me. Happy new year. Cue the raining frogs!
earachemyeye Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Too much time on my hands (dee doo dee doo dee doo) too much time on my haaaa-aaaands!
BCR Greg Posted December 30, 2010 Author Posted December 30, 2010 To be fair to Pisser, they were missing two of the four members. They are actually a great band. The lead singer doesn't seem to trust the bassist's instincts, and that ended up hurting their show.I am still thrilled to be asked to play by a guy who plays in Ace's band, and has Lynch Mob, Alice Cooper, two different Ramones, Tall Stories and more in his bio.It ain't over yet, kids.
HSB0531 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Clue me in. I don't get the raining frogs joke.
hectorp Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Clue me in. I don't get the raining frogs joke. See the movie "Magnolia." The movie features a number of different loosely linked stories each of which evolves in utterly surprising and bizarre ways. At the end the movie there's a pseudo apocalyptic rain of frogs...that somehow unites the stories (since it happens to all in the city where the action is set). I don't remember the movie perfectly but I found it to be really good and compelling.
