Ooh, I just played that Friday (on vinyl). Gonna start today with Ravel's Bolero. From there, who knows? Maybe some Beatles, maybe some Miles Davis, Gary Burton, Jim Hall, or Brubeck.

Winter is always my favorite season to play "Sketches of Spain"... you should throw that one on. : )

The cover that drained many a container of hand lotion.

Of course it did. It's a Vargas.

And let's not forget the many boxes of tissues that gave their lives in the same cause.

Met these guys last weekend in France, amazing young band from the UK. Playing their CD's constantly for 2 days.

Going to arrange some gigs for them in Belgium.

They opened for Deep Purple recently:

Sound City Real to Reel--all analog chain--mic'd through one of the best custom consoles ever, recorded to 2" 24-track analog reel-to-reel tape, mastered to vinyl. See the film. Fascinating.

New discovery to me: Blackberry Smoke - Great straight southern rock.

Spinning The Whippoorwill right now.

Also Adrian Vandenberg back in business:

Vandenberg's Moonkings

Also nice.

I just picked up Roy Clark and Joe Pass doing Hank Williams tunes. It is superb.

This is not a combination of things that I would think I would like, but it's truly excellent.

Came across this while listening to some 'Off Broadway' on Youtube, while looking over some investment stuff.

Bought the album when it came out in '79, back in college, and loved it, especially the covers of 'Under My Thumb', 'Do Wah Diddy Diddy' and 'Who'll Be The Next In Line', but the originals were good too, (Hey, I said it was '79!). Kinda "producie", BUT IT WAS '79!

Pristine 3-LP box set I just picked up for 99 cents plus another LP for the same price, perfect for puttering around the house on a Saturday:

I'm having a heavy dose of Animals As Leaders these days. I got me their three albums and think their stuff is educationally good from a musical standpoint. :)

Don't need new music until this is organized.

That's work for a life time. You'll never get it right.
