Disturber Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Back in the early 80s, when I was twelve or thirteen, and started to play the electric - this was the coolest guitar I'd ever seen. I wanted on badly.Still to this day I have never actually played one. But I still think they look cool.
MCChris Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I dig it too, and that's a great finish. Sort of a precursor to the PRS EG series. Needs victory inlays, though.GLWTS!
G Man Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Is it wrong that I am oddly attracted to this? Its definitely a unique and funky looking ride. GLWS indeed, quickly, before I doing something rash.
anathemata Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 First time I've seen one too. Really cool!
BubbaVO Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 There's a whole lotta awesomeness there. What's the scale?
BillW Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 how come I've never heard of such a thing? wow - that is cool
Brentrocks Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 There's a whole lotta awesomeness there. What's the scale?ill let you know when I get home
David B Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 For some reason I see Rudy from Fat Albert playing that guitar. I like it!!!
duncans Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I seem to remember those having a Fender scale with a real small(thinnish/narrow nut width neck), but it's been 30+ years. How's my memory?

cynic Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Body Eastern hard rock maple.Everything I read kept coming back with this too. We may need another ruling by the wood experts?
hamerhead Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Kind of a PRS-meets-Hertiecaster looking thing, ain't it? I mean, if it were a POS. Which it isn't. And I really like it. And it's sold. So I'm going to stop looking now........
Feynman Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Interesting - if I wait long enough...someone else buys the things for sale. This is useful information.I have never seen that model guitar before, but it's pure awesome. Good grab, whoever.
G Man Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 SOLDThank you. It was getting close for a few minutes there.
cmatthes Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Did these come out with the Corvus model? No - those were the 6 string companion to the fairly successful Victory Bass. The Corvus came a couple of years later, when Gibson was TOTALLY out of ideas.
Brentrocks Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 SOLD Thank you. It was getting close for a few minutes there.
marcnorth Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 First "new" bass I ever bought was a red 81 Victory Custom. I wish I still had it.
