Studio Custom Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Good luck with that. https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/222123494627
bambino68 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 "Driving that train.... High on ...... nevermind...
cmatthes Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Must really be an awesome guitar if it's been stored away in the case since the guy got it.
crunchee Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 "You can't go wrong owning this guitar!" says the man who wants 7 Grand for it.
Andrew Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Okay, the seller is optimistic… But the guitar is an amazing example of Hamer's flexibility at the time. Think just how many ways it varies from a production Chaparral.
diablo175 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Lost me at "3/4 scale" and the 22 frets... LOVE the color and the head stock though.
mc2 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I got a couple emails from the seller.......it is a bolt-on. He says a Cali body with a 25.5 inch scale neck. So.....I said "Then it is NOT a 3/4 scale.....It is a long-scale, 22 fret Chaparral neck with a reverse headstock on one-pickup Cali body." He insists it is a "3/4 scale." I told him that I thought ni a 3/4 scale is like a Fender Mustang 22.5 inch scale ? He says no. Still a cool guitar. I like th Fuscia accent on the headstock, despite a natural back of neck. I also told the seller that most guys like Calis BECAUSE of th extended fretboard and that a chopped 22 fret fingerboard might actually hurt the value. Again, he doesn't agree.....and says "the 3/4 scale" makes it worth a lot. Maybe $1500?
ARM OF HAMER Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 If I had 7K to spend on a guitar of my choice...................................... this guitar would not even be a consideration. Sorry, it may be a cool guitar to someone but at that price I would say its a cool guitar to no one.
cmatthes Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 "Scale" commonly refers to scale length. A "scaled down" body, like a Californian, is a downsized, smaller SIZED body. I think I see his confusion, but he's still wrong.

Jason01 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 So if I cut the bodies down on my guitars they will be worth 4x as much?
gorch Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Comes with a SD JB pickup. Must be a real Hamer. I was in doubt actually.
HSB0531 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 For 7k I want L.E.D.'s, 4 pickups, boomers, a custom Jim O'Connor graphic, 30 frets, a sustainiac, and hand delivered.

For 7K, I want his girlfriend doing me all sorts of favors, including making me dinner every night for a year. I dunno. Even IF I ever had that kind of $ to blow, not sure I could ever spend it on one guitar. ONLY exception would be one of Glnn Tipton's or KK's ACTUAL guitars.
