  1. Ya'll are making me rethink this. But motorcycle season is upon us.

  2. Playing this thru my Lead 12 Ministack home rig. A little less saturated/compressed than the PurplePlexi+Boost, still nailing a cranked Marshall tone. The separate bass/tone controls help to keep it from getting muddy. Looking forward to ripping this thru a real tube amp this weekend.

  3. It didn't work when I got it, but with the help of fellow HFC'rs everything is working great now. I alway's wanted a 3 Hole DuoTone! Now I have one!! And it's beautiful!!

  4. All I know is that buying this guitar is cheaper than orthopedic surgery and traction, and lots more fun than road rash. Whoever buys this guitar will be very happy IMO.

  5. Yes definitely crazy. And not as young, fleixble, fit or skilled like those professional riders.

  6. Oh you're crazy. Watched the Moto GP this past weekend and them fuckers are nuts. Cool as hell but crazier than a pet coon.

  7. But I like tipping the bike over! With enough speed and proper loading of the tires it’s not usually a problem.

  9. I am not a Rush fan. But the first album is by far my fave and it just rocks. 1st album, side 1, cut 1…hell yes! Miles played it fantastically and I saw her with Jeff Beck as well. She will tear the roof off the sucker on this tour. I wish they were coming to KC. They look like they are enjoying just rocking out and that is contagious.

  11. I can definitely attest to that. Not to mention physical therapy.

  12. You probably never tipped over on a guitar. Well, maybe.

  13. When I was selling off a lot of basses, I got my boxes, giant bubble wrap roll and huge bag of peanuts from Uline. There's a shipping freight charge for the larger stuff, but I picked up my supplies at the "local" warehouse which saved a lot.

  14. I've thought this is the only JJ cover that sounds close to Janis:

  15. For years I joked that there were a million guys who could play just like Eddie Van Halen, but they could not play anything new until Van Halen put out another album.

  17. If this isn't fake, it should be Paul Bielatowicz is with The Return of Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Carl Palmer. · Excited to be unveiling my Moogatowicz™ triple neck signature model this tour. Analogue warmth meets physical discomfort!

  19. My favorite part was Axl (rather, the absence of Axl), followed closely with what I have to assume is him pushing out a turd he's been working on for a week or so. But seriously, the harmonics in the intro were really cool. Incredible chops!

  20. The technical ability of some of these newer guitar players is amazing!.. Thanks for sharing👍

  21. Thanks, Jake. Serves my home needs well. Once I rewire the, “jam space board”, it will contain, thusly; VoidooLabs Dingbat small board Pedal Power 2Plus Budda Bud-wha Dingus box Peterson mini tuner SoloDallas Storm MXR Univibe Boss DD-8 LP JTM Eleven Axess Buffer (mounted underneath) I love the Boss DD series. I have two Analogman versions, but the DD-8 has all those features and more. The, “trails”, function makes transitioning from lead boost to normal sound very full. I’ll post pics of this simple, yet effective, board shortly.

  22. Janis covered it herself. The original recording was by Aretha Franklin's sister, in 1967.

  23. ^- this. The fact this guitar is still here is nuts.

  24. Or any other Joplin song for that matter... I absolutely LOVE this song and everything about it~

  25. Ooh! yes! the button with the Hamer logo should pop right into the Schaller. Have you watched any of the youtube vids about removing that button using a bit of heat and a magnet?

  26. I believe all are 14". For sure Daytonas, which is why they are superior to Strats.

  27. 1. If she's intent on crowding that particular mic, it needs a high pass filter. A 58 would likely have worked better. 2. I liked her rendition, but I think her voice would be more suited to different material. Maybe something from the Amy Winehouse catalog - more contralto-ish. We're so used to Joplin's version it's difficult for anyone to make their mark with that particular song. [/opinion]

  28. That I have not bought it yet is absolute proof of no funds in the guitar account. Considering items to sell but limited as all the kids are out of the house...

  29. I hope somebody buys this SOON. Damn that's hard to resist.

  34. That one is a different value. It's the volume pot. The probly ran out of black ones. All of mine say "Made in Spain" I'm still trying to figure out where the circuit board was made. I do know that PCB's from the 80's had a tendency to be tan. I'm thinking about building new PCB's. I think if I send one in they'll clone it. Then it just add the parts! Surface mount parts...I hate those tiny things....

  35. Perfect! Strange the different fourth pot-color of my 95-Model... 🤔

  36. Thank's Guys!! I got it all working! The Preamp circuit board is tan on this 1994 model and has some bad tracings. So that's gonna take a bit. Just jumpers for now! Thanks Again!!! Another Hamer has risen from the doesn't work stuck in a closet to a player once again!!!

  39. Without a doubt! It’s of little news to most people here that I’m a big ol’ TVJ fan, and although I don’t have an application for one of these boys just yet, no doubt I will.

  43. Turns out my friend Karsten is thinking of selling his. It's a red Special from 1981 or 1982 I think. I'll pm you his contact details. He's in Dusseldorf, Germany.

  44. I found the best prices are at Staples or Office Max, sometimes on sale and I grab 2-3 big-ass rolls! Home Depot is usually more expensive.
