This was on clearance at my local GC. I traded an Ibanez GB10 and cash and came home pretty satisfied with the deal. The 1993Plus was reissued years back with a wider nut (1-3/4") and an F-hole which was a hallmark of the original, 60's Rics imported to England by Rose Morris. Compared to my (since sold) 626/12, this one has it beat, hands down. No neck dive, and the hollow body gives it, "THAT sound." Hard to explain, but it sounds, “chimey-er”, than other solid Ric12s I’ve played. The wider neck makes it easy for me to arpeggiate chords without muting adjacent strings. Makes for a great playing experience! I'm sending it to Brawer for a few hardware upgrades from Winfield Vintage. I'll repost after the mods. Enjoy!

Something New To Let You Know About Dear Friends, Fans, Families, and people I’ve not met yet, I’m announcing today somewhat sadly but nonetheless truthfully, that I’ve reached a place where publicly more and more I need to use a wheelchair, mostly in airports, or public events. I can still walk, let there be no doubt, but I can’t walk very far without needing to rest, meaning I need to sit down. We started using the wheelchair about 18 months ago, mostly in airports. I became 78 years old on May 5th 2026. I was a long distance walker, I’ve walked in many different parts of the world, and I’m still a drummer. I can still play pretty good for 78 years old. My talents and ambitions, and my unyielding need to be artful, and to play drums, is still as strong as it was so many years ago now. I’m just saying if you see me in a wheelchair, I’m just catching a ride, I’m not in retirement or ill or giving up, or any of those thoughts that ignite when we see people in wheelchairs. I’m making myself public and transparent about my new transport, and letting you know I’m OK. If you see me in the airports or visiting friends in the music arenas or theatres say hi, I don’t bite, I’ll just look different, as pictured here. I liked the post because it's great to hear someone with a positive attitude pushing forward with his life. Good on you sir as they say... I felt a little weird about the 'like' though; I like that he's positive but not that he's facing the challenges in the first place. It's like Netflix asking me after I've watched a documentary about Nazi Germany or the Holocaust. If I rate the documentary with a 'like' will that endorsement get me onto a watch list? I don't like the atrocities but the documentary was well done.

I don't keep up with all the newer brands and offers but I think the Bare Knuckles Yard bird neck pup would work pretty well at that task. Great for blues and supposed to be terrific for jazz.

Hi Folks, After beating my head against the wall trying to fix a known migration bug effecting attachments in IPS for more than 20 hours. I decided to cut my losses, purchased, installed Xenforo and migrated all of our current data to it. It took a while but its been a SUCCESS and attachments work in the new forum! I'm in the process of validating the content and configuration with the help of Chris Matthes and Kiz. Once that is complete, I will open it up to everyone in parallel to the current board for further testing. Once we confirm its all good hopefully a few days. I will reimport the data from the current forum and swtich us over to the new one. All your ids and log in information and groups (supporter) should work in the new forum. Thanks all for the patience. Its been a journey but I can see the end in sight!

SOLD Great playing and sounding Artist Custom. Rosewood fretboard, frets are in very good condition with some slight wear, but probably 90+% of original height. Weight: 7lbs. 6 oz. Neck depth: 0.87" @ 1st fret, 0.95" at 12th Original Seth Lover pickups and (I assume) original Tone Pros locking bridge and tailpiece. I'm pricing this well below market for a perfect similar model because of the following: There is a professionally repaired binding separation in the top waist curve; There is a small unrepaired binding separation in the lower cutaway; There are tiny indentations on the back behind the upper horn. these are shallow and slightly larger than pin pricks. Photos of these imperfections are attached. No COA, but it includes an interesting vintage Hamer merchandise order form. Price: $1,750.00 plus $150.00 shipping, Continental US only. Sorry about the shipping cost and limitation, but that's just the reality of the market at the moment. With guitar center still around, it’s as if Daddy’s Junky Music never went away. (Overpricing, underpricing, mis marking, losing the case, getting a case that wasn’t listed, getting a guitar with another guitar’s COA, never cleaning the grime off a guitar which would reveal a pretty much mint guitar) Never gets old

I recently ordered a couple custom cabs from TRM ( http://www.trmguitarcabs.com/index.html ) and promptly upon arrival dropped them off with a friend that is very good at applying tolex. Just got the completed pics and will be picking them up asap. I will be rehoming my Suhr SL-15 into the head cab. Speakers still TBD, vertical 2x12 btw. Will probably swap a few different ones in for evaluation. Wish I could play as fast as these look.

Yeah I'm probably going to have to paint something to match it. 😄 I already have a watch.

Josh is my GoTo pickup guy. His personal touch is second to none, I no longer ask what Magnets, or wire, or anything. I explain what I’m going for and he works his magic. Everybody and their brother wind pickups nowadays, and f you find a guy that won’t let you down because he cares about your tone you better hang on to that guy.
