currypowder Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) After much internal debate on how to significantly reduce my collection and which guitars to let go, I have decided to sell 2 Explorer/Standard shaped guitars, beginning with this incredible Shishkov Ultimate #0011. My Momose Korina MEX will be going up next. I'm the 2nd owner and can't find a mark on it. It has a pretty chunky neck (0.95" at the first fret, 0.98" at the 12th) and only weighs 7.6 pounds. I don't think I need to pour out any accolades here. Everyone here is familiar. SOLD - $5,500 shipped Edited December 3, 2024 by currypowder 25 Quote

BoogieMKIIA Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Good thing I can’t afford it, I would have to play it out from time to time and would not stay mint. 2 1 Quote

scottcald Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Wow! How is that only 7.6 pounds? Beautiful, but I only had an explorer-ish shape once and dinged it every time I played it. And, too much gear around anyway. Quote

I don't know if all Ultimates were, but a few, definitely. 1 Quote

I believe they all were. Mike told me that they were fashioned after my '04 Hamer Standard, which was the first chambered Standard. 11 Quote

How does the sound change chambered versus solid? Edited December 3, 2024 by Cboss Quote

Last I heard (back in 2012), @Motorhead owned it. Honestly I don't remember what it sounded like. It did have a great acoustic voice, though. Oh, forgot to mention it was also korina.
