1997 FM Special For Sale or Trade - SOLD

I haven't been here in quite a while and I doubt that too many folks remember me. My wife and I have been experiencing a few years of ill health. We're both in our 70's and slowing down quite a bit. I've primarily been playing acoustic guitar and teaching guitar to our combat veterans who suffer from PTSD through a non-profit program Guitars $ Vets.

That being said, I have a 1997 FM Special for sale or trade. The Special is just too heavy for me at this age. I'd like to either sell or trade it here in Florida. I don't really want to ship it but........  I'd trade for a Newport (without Bigsby) a Talladega (I know, keep dreaming, Dave) or something lighter in weight.

The guitar is in excellent condition, original case, all original, little to no fret wear. It can sing Yankee Doodle while spinning seven (7) pie plates and tell jokes to the audience.

Price to sell it? I dunno. Reverb says $924 - $2,110. So I'm going to set the price at $1,750 plus actual shipping. The guitar is located in Naples, FL

Yes, forum rules. You need to set a price, no auctions etc. 

I'd say 1500-1700 is in the ballpark. A bit more is the seller is very keen.

Me too I still have the Newport with the Seth Lover in the bridge I got from him in NJ many moons ago. Sorry to hear about the health issues. I’m in that camp as well. And good karma for helping the vets.
