Is that a custom order from the early 90's?
cmatthes Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 That was actually a stock model until some point in '91 before the switch to an arched/carved top (see below - my '91):
DaveH Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Another crappy shot, and some more Specials. The one in the middle looks great! Is that Korina? Yep, it's korina with an ebony board. Here's a better pic of it. There sure are a lot of beautiful guitars in this thread.
formula73 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Here's one that's in safe keeping (as I understand it) with another HFCer until it gets into the area for me... Hey!!! You finally found one!!! Awesome, man!
kizanski Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Here's one that's in safe keeping (as I understand it) with another HFCer until it gets into the area for me... Hey!!! You finally found one!!! Awesome, man! One and a half, really.
serial Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Here's one that arrived day before yesterday... Lightweight, big neck...
serial Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Oh and here's a back view, thanks to FedEx... So it's back to the owner.
formula73 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Oh and here's a back view, thanks to FedEx... So it's back to the owner. If that happened, not to take the blame off Fedex, but it's also the shipper's fault. Crappy packing=possible busted ass guitar. Don't tempt fate.
Guest pirateflynn Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 It's still cool as can be.......can't something be worked out?
formula73 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Explicit instructions to the seller on EXACTLY how to pack were largely ignored. That killer guitar went unmolested for 26 years (lived through the '80s without so much as a Kahler or sticker plastering...and then . I hate people. That's a fucking abortion. Somebody close to the seller kill that sumbitch!!!
SirDouglas Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 i cant post anything ... you guys git jealous...... should put up my 5 Cents up hehe since no one else has put a cent or diablo up... good shti though... nice to see some deans .... Randy
Disturber Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Oh and here's a back view, thanks to FedEx... So it's back to the owner. Serial, sorry to see that. It is a killer guitar. Glad you found another one. What is the name of this Dean model? Are they just called Vee's? edit: "Dean Vee"??!! And I was not even out last night. Alzheimers, that is what it is. I mean "Dean Explorer"?
JJ Paul Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Does 1978 help qualify the porn as "fresh"?? Currently being attended by a flight attendant somewhere over the Atlantic :o for the joy of yet another EU fan! JJ
