cmatthes Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Wow, this recession is REALLY driving down prices!
crunchee Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Nice! I'll give you the traditional tree-fitty for it... That had to be a MASSIVE screw-up on the store's part, if this is on the level. I can't believe that any guitar store could be THAT clueless nowadays!
DaveL Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 sweet... ya gotta share, who in this world, sells an FM for$149? pawn shop?
Armitage Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Wow, they must have thought it was an import model.
DaveH Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 If you got it for that price, then that deal HAS to be an all-time HFC record! Congrats!
BLuesBuster Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 It's in pretty good shape for a '93, all original from what I can see, except for the tone knob which is a speed-knob not a top-hat. I got it at the GC and they definitely thought it was an import model. The dude was trying to up-sell me on a special from Indonesia with binding and carved top for only $100 more. The guitar sounds great, but needs a bit of cleanup and minor adjustments. The neck is the best part, not thin like my '92 but not Louisville slugger either like my other '95.

BubbaVO Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 You win! If bottom feeding is an art form, you are Pablo Picasso.
backinit Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 From one bottom feeder to another.....you are my idol.

Hmmm...that probably says volumes about GC, you'd think somebody there would know something beyond recent catalogs and guitar mags. Don't they have a database of some sort for buying and selling used gear? I haven't been in a GC in a while, but I remember that it looked like each used item had it's own description/name, barcode and item number as well as price, I don't think they just do this arbitrarily. But then again, maybe they do! Those medium-sized mid '90's necks are my fave for Hamers!
