Disturber Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I think the binding used comes from Italy. Supplier? Haven't got a clue... Cicilian mafia? Could have been any of these families: Lucchese, Bonanno, Gambino, Genovese, or Colombo.
Northfield Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Took this at Rick's Picks exhibit.... Thanks a lot, man. How about this one, anybody..
bubs_42 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 It was at Ricks Picks as well. I'm sure Gene got a shot of it too. I have a few but i'm having trouble digging them up at the moment.
bruce919 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 When Hamer was doing anything custom order I wanted to have a double neck similar to this done. Timing was not right $$ . Took this at Rick's Picks exhibit....
BTMN Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I spent like 3-4 hours at that exhibit and could have spent another 4 easily and shot a 100 photos. As it was I did not get one of the sax guitar. Here is a link to the thread with the shots I did get.http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/topic/56807-a-trip-to-illinois/
cynic Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Was the sax guitar there? I don't have any pictures of it either.
cmatthes Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I don't think the sax guitar was there - at least not when I was there. It is in the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston still as far as I know. I've got pictures from it there last year that I can load later on.
BTMN Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Didn't think that was there. However, I am getting older and that was a very fast paced "moment" filled couple of days. Trusted Bubs word and thought I just did not get a shot.
Never2Late Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Took this at Rick's Picks exhibit.... Thanks a lot, man. How about this one, anybody.. I saw photos of this on the Hard Rock Cafe's website, being one of their Top pieces of Rock momorabilia in their inventory....

coolfeel Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 David B is gonna be real happy to see the progress on his Standard...RAWK!!!
David B Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Ready to bind. Thanks guys for getting this one rolling again... love the progress pics (this is the new Hamer blog)
HamStd Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks a lot, man. How about this one, anybody.. The original RN Saxophone guitar had a Roland synth pickup, mouth piece and a kahler trem. The update of the original RN "Sax" guitar (tone pro bridge and no Roland synth pickup) was at the opening of Rick's Picks. It did move out of the exhibit after a couple of months....hmmm, wonder where it ended up..... Peter
bubs_42 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 A guitar you can blow into? Hamerheads got it for sure.
HSB0531 Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 HAMERusaLike no other guitar company in the world.
hamerhead Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 A guitar you can blow into? Hamerheads got it for sure. What the...?!?
coolfeel Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I miss Hamer... man I was so close to placing a seriously badass order when the plugged was pulled. I had actually received quotes on 2 different guitars and became a little lax in my decion making and then the plug was pulled.

I had actually received quotes on 2 different guitars and became a little lax in my decion making and then the plug was pulled.I knew with administration changes where I was and a job change for my wife that last year wasn't the time to do a custom, but I wanted to do one this Spring/Summer when things calmed down and after taxes. Unfortunately Hamer was shelved about six months too soon for me...

I'm surprised that they made a second one - what year did they do that one Peter?
