NEWMAN60 - I'm looking forward to seeing some of YOUR handiwork too! ;)

I'll take the old one. I'll even put a "Shit Happens" inlay at the twelfth fret...

Oh, and great work, as always. I *love* seeing this stuff. :)

Jeez a solid maple Cali is just salt in the wound, isn't it?

That's a nice looking piece of wood.

That's what she said...... :lol::lol:

Sorry couldn't resist.

I saw another nice looking 4 digit piece of wood over on The Last Bass Post last night. He didn't say who he got it from but I know it was one of yours. When are you going to cut loose a nice 4 string short scale? I know you've got some in your stash.

Is it possible for the current Hamer builders to form their own company, and lease the equipment to build Hamers full time?

I love this thread. Thank's to all for the photos and updates. That Cali is just friggin awesome. When you guys finish something like that, do you feel a bit of regret (for lack of a better word) in seeing it go? To me it looks like you guys leave a little part of yourself in every build.

No, I'm pretty sure they still have all their fingers. :D

Great stuff! Thanks for all the pics.

If there is one more cali after this would it be possible to make the angle on the bottom of the board match the neck pickup route? Or is it the flaw that you have to put in it to be true to the (native) American heritage?
