seeker Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Keep in mind...just because it was a quote request, doesn't mean it's doable. There have been a lot of requests for things like boomerangs, etc. that can't or aren't able to have done.Did somebody trade-mark boomers already? If 'victory' or 'crown' inlays are Hamer designs, are those off-the-table, too? I'm not a Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) savant, but have not been able to find boomer inlays trademarked by anyone on their site.
cmatthes Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Consider also that he wants to establish his own brand and showcase his own talents. While nothing at all wrong with using some inspired designs, why invite potential problems from FMIC and use something like those inlays, which are exclusively Hamer?
diablo175 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 While nothing at all wrong with using some inspired designs, why invite potential problems from FMIC and use something like those inlays, which are exclusively Hamer? 'Cuz boomers are fookin' cool. That's why.
Sugartune Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Here's something to say about some things that have been said...I don't like boomers and I do like victories. Take that!
JohnnyB Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 One man's boomers are another man's upside down checkmarks.
Sugartune Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Checkmarks!?!? Now there's an inlay I can get on board with. Get it?? .......board.

BTMN Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Pickup man posts a good read. Looking forward daily to an Ultimate!
BTMN Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Josh sent me a couple photos of the proto's. Enola (bridge) will come with a lightly soldered on cover. I have heard them and the are absolutely awesome. Anyone that was thinking about installing boutique pickups from another manufacturer won't be disappointed if they stay with the stock set up. I firmly believe that Josh's work is on par with anything out there. They are amazing. I have also heard the Charlotte as well. It's exactly what it was supposed to be. Gain with clarity. Think Van Halen 2. That in the bridge is the only substitution anyone might want to make if they prefer a pickup with slightly more gain.Lastly Josh really thinks the HFC is a unique and special place so will be making the Shlabotnik models (Grace, Enola and Charlotte) available for purchase only by HFC supporting members. While anyone can contact josh and spec out a custom pickup of there own, perhaps extremely similar to the Shlabotniks, it a nice convenience and very cool of him to do. OH YEAH!!!! Can I have a pair of Enolas in mine?
cmatthes Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I don't think there will be substitutions, but you can always buy one and swap it out!
