cmatthes Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 What number is the Korina? It's bigger than #0000, and smaller than #0099...
BTMN Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 UHHHH..... MMMMMM..... Wish that was mine being built!!!!!! I remember that big ol' slab of Korina Mike ran by us a while ago. ME Want!!!!!
foodermon Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Now we're cookin w gasoline! Looka that Korina lumber! That will smoke!
BTMN Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Here are a few pics of some of the ones in the woodshop now Just cause!!!! Dibs on the Korina after the original owner tires of it!!! Like that will happen. Chambered too?? Bet that is a featherweight.
cmatthes Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 They're all pretty lightweight, despite the size.Korina is actually not universally lighter in weight than mahogany - in fact, the heaviest Standard I've ever encountered was a Korina LE model. I would believe it if it was actually 14 lbs or so - total brick!Mike's wood selection is top notch however, so I think everybody will be more than pleased with what they get.
Jakeboy Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Mike's wood selection is top notch however, so I think everybody will be more than pleased with what they get.THE understatement of 2015!!!!
albacore Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Does one of those tops have "KK" written on it? What can it mean?

ptm1diver Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 MikeIf it's not a "trade secret", can you tell us what build number is associated with that Korina Ultimate? Thanks
crunchee Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Now we're cookin w gasoline! Looka that Korina lumber! That will smoke! Just don't forget that it's for playin', not BBQin'. Playin' AT a BBQ is OK, though.

foodermon Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 The next few are almost ready to head to the spray booth. a 2nd Opaque??? ooooooooooooo!!!
BTMN Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Actually for my tastes that has nice grain and would make bad ass plaintop guitar.
soli'd Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yeah for not showing any figuring, it still looks somewhat matched (grain width, etc...). Still, the sooner it's all covered up the better.Anyone know how long the paint>curing>assembly process takes?
