How will you be able to play this gem while can't stop watching?

Can't wait to see it colored.

Trying to come up with a term for that top... psychedelic?

The grain lines are off the charts (literally)!

You gotta be kidding me.....cannot wait to see it finished!

Yea, I love my ebony board on 0006 cause I have never had ebony before, but that rosewood of yours looks like the bubinga that Rickenbacker currently uses. A beautiful wood.

First pic of the neck glued up with the body.  Mike and I had a great, albeit short, conversation tonight about the bridge and tuners.  Single ring Kluson style tuners and an ABR-1 with bushings.

I know it's my guitar, but I really think the fret board for #45 is one of the finest in the Ultimate run...

It is kinda velvet chocolatey

So I'm a little confused with guitar construction.

The block of wood that extends into the neck pickup cavity, is it there for stability while the neck settles after being glued? There doesn't seem to be space for a neck pickup, is it cut out at some point?

Or does this one have the bridge pickup only? Like i said I'm confused,  haha.

Anyway, the top is really amazing. I've never seen one like it before. The patterns are so unique that you could identify the guitar by a quick glance at a pic .

The neck tenon is routed afterwards to open up the pickup cavity.

Seriously? I always thought they notched the bottom of the neck pickup and that's why they sound hollow.

fantastic choice going with the ABR-1... the protos have this and I thought they made a big

difference in tone.
