OH BOY!!!

I was never a fan of the stop tail on a Vee (strings go through the body on a Vee!!), but that's pretty cool.
I'm sure there's a story involved, one way or another.

This guitar just got me. A '67 V-looking vintage Hamer Vector with a Schenker finish, that's too much my thing.

Please, HFC'ers, unless you really really really want it, step out of my way. PLEASE! --or we'll hurt each other. :(

Intersting serial number: inked on '84 serial with a stamped 4 digit number.

Serial Steve to the White Courtesy Phone.

The more I look at her, the more I desire her. I'll be lurking in the dark to putting my claws on her neck.

Hmmmm?.. didn't you just say that your  your last Gibson was possibly "the one?".. I live in Chandler Arizona and haven't purchased a guitar and a while  and also have a deep fondness for Vees... but I will bow out if you say "Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band in the world"  :P

Even though I really really really want it, I promise not to bid, but only if you promise not to try to flip it on Reverb next month.

Why does the neck sit so high above the body facilitating the need to use really thick pickup rings?

Gibson 67's and later had the big shelf high neck tenon. Hamer was probably re creating as such for the client who special ordered it.

Doctor, Doctor, Please...

Funny. I'm currently working on "Doctor, Doctor" and "Only You Can Rock Me", plus on MSG's "Armed and Ready". Those actually are the only "true rock" songs I'm practicing these days, just to distract from my cannot-be-less-rocking-than-that gig.

Thank you! We'll see what will happen.

BTW, I got an empty vintage Vector case in my garage (in great condition), as well as a set of zebra (cream&black) Schlabotniks that are begging for a deserving host. And I also have a set of black top-hat knobs by Gibson. ;)

Gotta admit that is very interesting.

I also agree with Kiz Vectors are supposed to be strung through.

Maybe Serial, Peter or someone else can chime in with any knowledge of this guitar.

VERY cool.  I'm not aware of a 67 style Hamer V.  I'll have to look this up...
