I think there are 3 others on Reverb right now, between $3,900 and $5,500.

I can’t believe they laid that directly on that ledge!!

As opposed to laying it directly on gravel or asphalt, or up against a truck tire?

...or rusty basement door.

It looks nice, but the body shape reminds me more of a Washburn Idol more than anything else.

What I thought... looks kind of familiar... art nonetheless....

Whatever you guys ... looks damn nice to me

Yeah, it's "nice."
$5,500 nice? No.
There's a mile-long list of Shishkovs, Hubers and Hartungs I would buy if I were spending that much on a guitar again.

To each his own, but the script Dantzig is a hideous turn-off.   BTW, there are plenty of Talladegas and T Pros (if you can find one) for half the price.

I like the specs, but......One Shishkov on the near term horizon, several Hubers and Hartungs previously locked down for WAY less than $5.5K. Knock off $2k and we could talk. I like it, BUT.....

What haunts me is that it has a two piece body. With Hamers usually you get one piece bodies.

One must assume it’s by design as the difference in price, in this territory, really wouldn’t be that much.

I know members here that have PRS over that price range and the Dantzig is way more interesting. My RO cost over $5000 new. I think some of youse guys take this thing personally.

I think some of youse guys think this guy's shit doesn't stink.
The guitar is a glorified Talledega, end of story.

I like the single cut Tele-Paul guitars, but a two piece body is something I'd balk at.  I like mine better and it was just north of 4K...

"Interesting" is subjective, and yes, some of us (myself included) do take it personally because we've found Jol to be an insufferable cockhead who played a major role in torpedoing the Hamer brand. However, at the end of the day, it's all about looking at something and asking yourself, "can I justify the price of this item?" With these guitars, the answer is a resounding "no" for me. They remind me of Bakers: aesthetically unappealing, borderline clumsily executed (to my layman's eye) and damn sure not worth several thousand dollars new, let alone used.

One man's opinion, worth what you paid for it (considerably less than a Baker or a Dantzig).

Yes indeed. Subjective. This whole thing is subjective. I would say whoever was in charge of marketing sank the Hamer brand. If that was Jol then there is a problem there. I'm sure ,just like everyone his time at Hamer had good and bad points. I'm sure all of these expensive guitars have good and bad points as well. So why all the bitterness?  It just makes you seem, well ... bitter.

I beg to differ on the "aesthetically unappealing" and Kizanski will disagree too!  Oh, it's Korina too...
