This was on TGP for a while and apparently sold.  Now available on Reverb from at a higher price from a former HFC member.

Who's that? Gearwhore?

Purchase at your own risk.   Brent was banned here after many complaints and blatant (and knowing) misrepresentation.

OK, now I'm confused.  Same S/N, two drastically different locations.  Do you suppose they ran Brent out of Kalamazoo?

Or is this the Japanese market trick of selling it before you buy it?

Converted from p90s to full size buckers. Some routing took place as buckers are wider than p90s. Also missing a pickup ring screw.

Very strange....  The CL ad says it was posted 2 months ago — I thought CL ads were only good for 2 weeks, but maybe I’m mistaken. I’m surprised I hadn’t noticed it there before.

The guitar has different locking tuners in the Reverb ad and was only posted there a day ago.

FWIW I thought @BCR Gregwas looking for one of these.

I would have been happy to grab that while it was near me, I just didn't think it was well

cared for...   The string slots look like they were all enlarged and the ding on the face is

now touched up.

Doesn't look like he's all that happy with it if he's at $1275 or best offer which after

fees and getting a 1099 for your trouble is chump change...

He's been accused of a lot of things.  Being smart was never one of them.

I wonder if this one got the “Mother’s foam ball chucked in a power drill buffing treatment”.  That alone increases the value.

I followed this on FB for a while and was getting close to making the seller an offer.  Glad I didn't.  I get the feeling that the new owner was none-too-pleased to discover the p90 origins, hence the quick flip.  I know I would have been pissed if that happened to me and I feel like I dodged a bullet by dragging my feet on this one.

Brent likely bought it to flip after stripping anything of value (original tuners,…) and subjecting it to auto shop tools.  I would have been fine buying it from original seller.

Since it had humbuckers when it was for sale from the last seller, I still would have wound up with a P90 guitar routed for humbuckers from an ad that didn't disclose it.  I know nothing about this Brent guy and it sounds like he's bad news too, but at least he disclosed the p90 to humbucker modificaton.

Take it from those of us who do know him.

It's this \/ not this /\

I said right in my last post that it sounds like that guy is bad news and I certainly won't try to convince anybody otherwise. I'm just saying that regardless of the reason, I would not have been pleased if I bought that guitar not knowing that it was originally a P90 guitar.

You mean the signature buffing  process.

Still living with mom or is that his wife? 😬

No breaks or repairs except the big ass ding near the sound hole that was touched up with testers paint.    The routes for humbuckers must not be breaks or repairs...

Really should hit report for not disclosing the humbucker routes.
