cmatthes Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Sounds like it was their son who battled drug addiction, homelessness… Damn. I’ve been a huge fan of Rob, his work and his constant voice of reason. Very sad… 2 4 Quote

Saul Goodman Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 I loved this guy's movies. All in the Family was a family staple back in the day as well. I think it was on Sunday nights. Can't remember for sure. So sad. https://www.tmz.com/2025/12/15/rob-reiner-wife-michele-throats-slit-family-member-argument/ 2 Quote

tommy p Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 That is very sad. If it turns out it was his son that did it as many are speculating, even sadder. 1 Quote

burningyen Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Terrible that he and his wife are dead, horrific how it happened. I don't remember much about All In The Family but loved all the movies he did. I can rewatch Spinal Tap and Princess Bride in particular an infinite number of times. 3 Quote

tbonesullivan Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 Just got around to watching Spinal Tap II, which I guess is now his final film. Was it as good as the original? IMHO, no, but it was still great. Quote

There's another one in the can that is scheduled for release next year: Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale https://www.imdb.com/title/tt38773527/?ref_=nm_flmg_job_1_accord_1_unrel_cdt_t_1 2 1 Quote

In other news, I am seeing reports that Nick Reiner was diagnosed with Schizophrenia weeks before the murder, and was having issues with his meds, which is probably why his parents were keeping close tabs on him. Yes, and watching Syd Barrett unravel had a profound effect on him and the rest of the band, as well as their songwriting. Roger had first met Syd at an art class a few years before they turned ten years old. David Gilmour met Syd a few years after that. They all got a front row seat to the mental illness show, and it sucked. 1 2 Quote

Alice Cooper formed from an art class with Vince and Dennis. I think Glenn and Mike may have been in the same school. Can't remember. The Who is another one. And I think the Stones. Small towns back then I suppose. My first exposure to PF was Animals, Basically three songs on vinyl. "Pigs on the Wing," to me was a Prelude and an Epilogue. I remember buying it because they were playing it at the record store. I had to have it. It was Christmas break and I listened to it maybe twice the night I got it. Then we all got together, may six or eight of us from the hood, I was 15, and we jumped some creek, ended up in the woods by a lake, made a big bonfire, and slept under the stars. All I could think about that night were those three songs. All through high school that album either brought me closer to committing suicide or kept me from it. I'll never know. 2 Quote
