Hamerhack Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Since it's New Year's, and since 2008 should be officially declared a "do-over", how's about this... You can have one guitar from any HFC member. It's okay if multiple people covet the same axe, because it will magically manufactured by the good ol' Calvin & Hobbes Duplicator. My choice is the fabled Camstone Duotone, shown here in all it's BCR Greg Photo glory:
cmatthes Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 So far today, I'm liking the 0706 Standard... If that one is already taken (it is), then I'll take "my" Electraglide, please!
hardheartedbill Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I'm taking Whackhead from Gene, I hate to do it but it is the coolest guitar here!
bubs_42 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 There is only one, and call me sick for not picking the Electaglide. But it has to be the CajunBurst! That's a Damn Hot Guitar !
Jorge Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 The Studio Custom with the Dan Armstrong headstock. I always wonder how incredibly sucessful Hamer would have been with just a little more design effort.
Camstone Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I want Silentman's Watson please. yummy! Although this one blows me away every time I open the case and it's already at my address.
gwayne Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Not sure if he still has it, but Phoenix' old-growth cedar over korina Duotone was amazing so I'll take that one.
atquinn Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 HamStd's Watson with the Floyd bridge. Yummy!-Austin
specialk Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Serial's "Jaws" Standard! It's mine, it's mine I tell you! sk

unfun75 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Is Zilmo still a member here? I'm sure he's got something worth having!
Thundernotes Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 A certain white Standard now residing in Lithuania.....
duncans Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I sure like a certain Pesopro. Hope it shows up in Minneapolis on April so I can check it out.
zorrow Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 The two most desirable items around to me --according to my current state of mind: 1- BTMN's Korina Vector: 2- Russ' white "ugly-headstock" '84 Vector: Edited to add: I don't really know in which order, even if the korina babe I know it's better --at least in theory.
BLuesBuster Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 That vector is the shiznit, I believe Hamer is the only guitar Co. that managed to get a Korina V-shaped body to sound right, I'm not sure why but a Hamer's tone is full (meaning it covers a broader range of frequencies) whereas some others are on the thin side (treble heavy). The two most desirable items around to me --according to my current state of mind: 1- BTMN's Korina Vector: Bonne année mon ami !

BubbaVO Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 So many memories, so little time... And the spalted maple top standard is definitely up there too.
formula73 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 That may be the most hellacious top I've seen on an old Hamer. God knows, none of my KKs were even close to that, and most of the old Standards aren't nearly that deep. Nice! Who's is that?
velorush Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 duh: Edited to add: Serial, sorry to keep posting your guitar, but I still haven't gotten over it...

I think it was Zorrow's guitar.
