bubs_42 Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 So you painted the fretboard? This is going to look super hot!
cmatthes Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 No paint on the fretboard - it's Ebony with Flames...http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/topic/51869-ntl-shop-happs-1218-sunday-update-sg-spcl-fin/page__hl__inferno__st__45
bubs_42 Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 The paint strip down the middle of the tape was throwing me off.
kizanski Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I don't know why the holes for the bridge and pickup rout remind me of Domo. I don't see it.
cmatthes Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Time for some updates...more to come soon. Stike NAILED the vintagey burst, exactly as I described it. The guy's got serious talent. Here it is, gettin' some ROWYCO love: It's coming together now: (This one goes to "11") Jay and Stike...you guys totally RAWK!
hectorp Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Long road; great outcome. I'm a Faber fan. How does it sound?
MCChris Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Awesome! None more RAWK!I recently got a poor man's version of this up and running. Can't put it down!
Stike Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Long road; great outcome. I'm a Faber fan. How does it sound?I don't want to give it back. I'm not exactly vintage minded so personally I prefer a fully adjustable bridge but Jay got it dialed in. The main thing that bugs me about the Faber is the strings come pretty far out the back so where it wraps around itself so it's pretty easy to scratch up the fat of your palm.

Hamerica Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Wow why was this on the HFC Experts Page? It should be on the front page. Now I get it, because the HFC Experts build it. Chris Serial Stike and Jay both guitars are incredible. Congrats!Hamerica
kizanski Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Wow why was this on the HFC Experts Page? It should be on the front page. You're right - it should be moved, but everyone can see the "experts" forum anyway, so it hardly matters. The more I look at the first photo (painted), I'd have been tempted to leave it lemon drop, but seeing it finished you definitely went the right way.
Feynman Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Amazing work by everyone involved, and a beautiful guitar all around.
