tommy p Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 In the new issue of Guitar World, he is asked about the guitars he uses. Of course there is discussion about his Flying V's but then he says his main guitar in the studio is a Hamer "Strat". Too bad it's too late for a celebrity endorsement.
zorrow Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Wolf Hoffman, Glen Tipton and the likes do play Hamer... but they always did. The problem with the brand was that they made no effort to attract the new generations of players by capitalizing on the endorsers they already had.
gatorbyte007 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Wolf. Is living in Nashville. The white "Strat" guitar is actually a Beautiful Chap. I have talked with him a couple of times about it.
diablo175 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Love Wolf's playing and was stoked when I saw him sporting a Hamer a few years ago. Been listening to Accept's playlist on the iPod in the car.

Disturber Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I didn't know who Wolf Hoffman was, had to Google.
devrock Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 The last album (Blood of the Nations), his primary was a custom shop Jackson V. Now, he has his own signature V with Framus (which I find visually appalling). That Chap is f;ing gorgeous.
diablo175 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 On the cover of his solo album he had a Vector: That's the type of V I'd get (and have wanted as of lately) if I were to go V. Given the extinction of Hamer, guess that's one ax I'll never see...
gorch Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 On the cover of his solo album he had a Vector:[img=http://1.1.1.2/bmi/lossless-galaxy.ru/uploads/posts/2009-09/1253825491_skanirovanie0001.jpg]Fantastic record btw. I love it.
marcnorth Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I seem to remember someone here has or had one of his axes.
devrock Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Given the extinction of Hamer, guess that's one ax I'll never see...Wait...did I miss something recently?
crunchee Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Given the extinction of Hamer, guess that's one ax I'll never see... Wait...did I miss something recently? Um...define "recently"...
devrock Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 CRAP! I just read about the news. Not sure how the hell I missed that (other than not being in this particular forum for a long time). Wow....
Submariner85 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Love that guy. Accept is still one of my all time favorites.
Brooks Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 dunno if wolf hoffman is considered a "celebrity" even in germany... PS - watching old SNL from VH1 theotherday, saw billy corgan playing a daytona.
gregc Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I had Wolfs' Vintage S for a while. I sold it to someone here. I forget who. It was stunning, too stunning to take out n' play. So, I sold it. It was lovely, just to look at. Beautieful, ribbon maple, and gold hardware. Stunning, really.

Steve Haynie Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hoffman's signature model Framus looks like his white Hamer Vector.
diablo175 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hoffman's signature model Framus looks like his white Hamer Vector. That's actually a really nice lookin' ax! The selector switch placement is puzzling though... I'd consider selling off a few vital organs (I've heard Framus are expensive!) to afford one of them with the right mods- different color paint, different p'ups, tweak the head stock shape a little, move the selector and change to a toggle style. BAM! Good to go!
