I just ran my Ultimate through a CRANKED tweed Lil Dawg 5e3 Deluxe with the channels jumpered.....rock and roll central!!!!I play mostly blues but this guitar is so PUNCHY......is it the ebony board? Feedback comes easy on Thai thing I assume due to the chambered body. The Shlabotniks have a lot of power.....anyway all I wanna play with this thing is RNR.....I ran through the Aerosmith songbook from the 70s starting with Walkin The Dog and Mama Kin....then I transitioned to classic Stones riffage.....then Paranoid came out of nowhere.....China Grove just sounded perfect through the tweed.Baby wants to rock.
Jakeboy Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Oh, and if you know how to tweak the interactive volume controls on a tweed Deluxe, you can get a crystal-clean tone to die for....well, the Ultimate's middle position just chimes and sparkles for days through a pretty, clean amp circuit. I may be the only one who is glad Mike didn't put the pickups out-of-phase. I LOVE the middle position for cleans ......it rings and chimes like a Tele.Next amp up will be my Lil Dawg Ol Yeller 6g6-b blonde Bassman....both clean and nasty.Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.
