Cboss Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 What finish is that on the wood? That is really beautiful! You built?

Special sauce before the lacquer on the top. It's a special filler that accentuates the grain on a flat top. "You built"? No. Way above my pay grade. Some guy named Greg.
gorch Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 That‘s going to become a very interesting thread. Great top! It appears to have a single bridge, no stop tail. What are you planning to go for?
specialk Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 Pics not showing up on Safari or Firefox. What are people using who can see these?
velorush Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 Interesting they were visible to some initially. I can't even get the images by clicking the link - sometimes when this happens (FB, for example), I can click the link and get the image in a window. Either way, congratulations! The description sounds amazing!
burningyen Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 At home on Safari on my iPhone the pics took like 2 minutes to load and initially appeared as icons with question marks. On Chrome on my Windows work laptop I'm getting the "May be" broken image links others are seeing.
The Shark Posted January 7, 2025 Author Posted January 7, 2025 I'm no tech guy, so I don't know. They are showing up on my computer and my phone. Hmm...

donner Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 To me, it's more reminiscent of a Robin Artisan, I guess. Think of BCR Greg's series of pics... Congrats, Shark!
tbonesullivan Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 Ahh... I guess now I see where the inpsiration came from. Been following that build a bunch.
The Shark Posted July 21, 2025 Author Posted July 21, 2025 Soon to arrive. Greg played it as some live gigs and re-cut the nut after the break-in period. Oh, boy!
RobB Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 I’ve never heard of builders gigging customers’ instruments before delivery. Is this common?
