I had an '80s Vector 10-15 years ago, stupidly sold it for way too cheap. I recently got a cheap Indonesian Washburn Paul Stanley V, I intended to flip it. I've had it for sale, but was playing it last night: it's really lightweight, under 7 pounds. The V is very well balanced on the strap, and I can rest my right forearm on the body, totally relaxing my right shoulder.  It's actually a really good playing guitar, somewhat limited in tones due to the single pup, but this one is no longer for sale. 

I didn't know, or had forgotten how comfortable the V is to play.

Yeah, I am right there with you. I owned a 1980 Vector and stupidly sold it 20 years ago. Was always on the lookout for another, and they just don't come up with a sunburst flamey bound top. So last spring I found this Lashing and bought it. Like you, I really like how comfortable it is to play. And lightweight!

Here's my old '80 and my new Lashing.

I’ve got my Red Korina Hamer and a pair of Gibson ‘67 RI Flying Vees.  A KKV I used to have moved along years ago…

All are really super light, play and sound great.

Currently trying to figure out how to wire this oldie but cheapie.  My friend did a refinish job.  I just told him to do as he wished.  I bought it for $100 at a guitar store in Gainesville Florida in 1984. Actually played pretty good.  Palmer V. not a great picture...

Does this count?.. because out of all my V's... I've grown to love this one the most... in fact, I hardly ever play it in fear of wearing it out 🤣

Someday, I suppose the Banker I ordered will get done. I ordered it back in August, and it's a year-long wait. 

So the only V-ish thing I have at the moment is this guy, which I am also selling, haha. image.jpeg

Mike's interpretation of a V, the Shishkov V80. We talked a lot about the details, the headstock was entirely his design. He used a leftover part from the maple top to create a matching headstock.

The idea for the inlays is based on a questionable translation of my German last name into English, supposedly something like "evil river". I made line drawings for fish skeletons and the head of a cat (simplyfied) and Mike tunred them into MoP inlays. The the fretboard is the river, and the cat (frets 11-13) is the predator that has eaten the fish. It kind of went with the curly maple top, that has some lines looking like a wavy extension/ shadow of the strings around the sustain block area. A few years later I followed up on this idea of drawing the inlays with a Nik Huber (which has bone inlays).

I love the guitar overall except the painted neck. I'd love to have one with a raw neck, but I doubt I'd pony up the money for a CS build to have it. 

I still think that, shapewise, they are cooler than the other side of the pillow.

Have you ever considered scuffing up the neck? It was suggested to me on here years ago to hit a gloss neck with 0000 steel wool, Scotch-brite pads or 200- 300 grit sand paper and you get a nice albeit temporary satin feel. 

It took me a few months to finally fully bond with mine. Not a fan of painted necks either but can get on well enough if the other playability characteristics are solid. The one issue I'm having is hitting the the rhythm pickup while playing chords. Normally, this is not an issue but with the Sustainiac p'up in it, for whatever reason, makes a bit of racket, like it's hollow. At stage volume, it's not discernible. Jamming in the studio at preserve-the-marriage-volume, it's audible and annoying.

You might want to look at the the American Series RR 24s. Pricey but satin finish.
